Pro Tour-San Juan Deck Tech: RUG with Josh Utter-Leyton
Top 8 San Juan competitor Josh Utter-Leyton shows off his red-blue-green Block Constucted deck that has been successful since its debut in the Magic Online ...
@xtxoxpxd Ummm, no its not widely played by children, most people that play
it are 18+ years old. How does it take 1/100th the skill of poker, when
your opponent could have cards you've never expected and you need to
anticipate that. In poker you know what your opponent could have, in magic
you don't. Poker has 52 cards in a deck. In magic there's only 40, however
there is over a million card combination's. Clearly magic requires much
more thinking and preparation then poker.
@xtxoxpxd Poker has 52 cards, how is that hard to predict... That's like
ordering an item off the menu and you CAN'T customize it. that seems fairly
elementary to me. Maybe you should fucking open your eyes, poker requires
skill, but magic requires so much more. There's several phases PER TURN in
magic, theres rules about what you can play during each phase, there's
estimating what your oponent is going to have and what you can do to be
effective in the long term.
@xtxoxpxd Wait, so because there's books made of poker its more complex?
Thats fucking fail logic right there. Maybe magic is so complex that no one
could ever make a book. Also do you realize that magic has changed
dramatically over the years. The most popular and best decks are always
changing. Magic cards also allow you to search, shuffle, view your deck.
There is also bluffing, leaving 2-3 mana up might mean your opponent has
counters, or is he bluffing?
@xtxoxpxd Your logic on that AD was terrible, while they do seem rather
childish there is swearing, sexual jokes and general un childlike shit.
Also did you notice the part where they go to FNM... It's all 18+ people.
Not little kids. So you're clearly retarded. I'm not saying poker is skill
less, but magic requires more skill then poker just because of the many
strategies and foresight required.
@C1u3z you're mistake is thinking that card combinations is equuivalent to
complexity. have you seen the whataburger commercial where they say theres
2,000 ways to customize your burger? well yeah you can get bacon, bacon and
cheese, just cheese, bacon cheese and lettuce, just lettuce, etc etc etc.
does that mean ordering at whataburger is complicated? lol NO.
@C1u3z christ you can't be serious. magic is a fantasy card game widely
played by children and takes about 1/100th the skill of poker. lol @
imagine if poker had 50,000 cards. yeah magic is the hardest thing in the
world! its like brain surgery but imagine if the brain had 50,000 different
parts!
@C1u3z here's more proof for you, which you won't want to accept. there are
hundreds of poker books analyzing the game and even the BOOKs are evolving
over time as the players evolve. how many accredited books are there abaout
magic? are there more than 10? lol.
@gymkidarman Even if he is reprinted unless he is reprinted in one of the
those planeswalker vs decks It will just be reprinted as a mythic and will
still be just as hard to get.
Pro Tour-San Juan Deck Tech: Beastmaster/Monument Green with Zvi Mowshowitz
An expert in Block Constructed events throughout the years, Pro Tour Hall of Famer Zvi Mowshowitz shares his fast-mana deckbuilding theory for how he ...
You know what the mark of a good deck designer is? It's showing someone a
deck in a color they usually hate and make them want to build and play it.
I usually play blue and I can't believe how much I like the look of this
thing.
@hungsolow123 you can clearly tell its parted and that the glass keep it
out of his eyes so what are you getting at? he doesnt even look emo? and
how cool are we talking about hair on mtg videos?
@TheRealExAzrael Block constructed is only from the block format as in
"Zendikar block" which is zendikar, worldwake, and rise of the eldrazi ONLY
as in no core sets or other expansions.
@inthepants117 I have long hair. A lot of people I know have long hair.
However, none of us have vision impairing long hair like this irritating
emo generation.
@TheRealExAzrael Block you can only use cards in the latest block. In
standard you can use cards from the two most recent blocks and most recent
core set.
no garruk? :( it would be insane with garruk's overrun and since you looove
mana aceleration...garruk is the daddy of that but still deck looks
dangerous
