Not a chance, never would i let someone paint my car for 399. You get what
you pay for. A proper paint job includes bodywork, sanding, disassembly of
the body, prep, paint, clearcoat... You can tell maaco doesnt do these
thing. Sorry playa. Your shit aint "crispy"; its cheap.
Had the Same Car Ran Super Guud Olady Fuck it Up by Puttin No Oil in it wen

MAACO PAINT JOB charged my $1388.00 these guys are not professionals and you can tell by looking at this crappy paint job. Runs, wrinkles, orange peel, ...
+Donald Uchiha I got a $500 paint job for $1400. If they would have just said that they could not match the paint, I would have left and went somewhere else. I do not think I was asking to much not to have grey primer all over the step pads. Even the orange peel maybe I could deal with. But, they kept my chrome emblems, not offering to replace ruined step pads. I did not need to spend $4000 but I should have gotten a $1400 paint job. Thank you for responding though.
+Tom Tate DID YOU SEE THIS OTHER VIDEO . https://youtu.be/eN1fcPbvk6c Also, I do not know how you could not see primer on everything and also orange peel and runs in this video. but, check out the other one also
+Butterfly Taxi DFW I do not work for Maaco or any other car paint place. I am considering getting my '98 Dodge Dakota painted, and was researching when I came across this video. Seriously, I can't tell what I am looking at most of the video. Maybe I could have left the stoned part out. But for real, if you are trying to help people out, maybe you should stand back and zoom in or something because man, I really can't make out what I am looking at.
It is not a truck and no they did not wash it after and probably not before. They cannot fix my problems without redoing it and they have not offered to do that or to replace the step pads that they ruined with grey primer. SO there in lies a problem.
I'm in the process of doing my own paint project I can see why shops charge so much. Also I stumbled across your video. No I do not work for Macco. I just don't see why they would not fix the problems. Have you contacted their HR department? Your truck also looks dirty did they wash it before they gave it back to you?
Pretty good the lines on the hood have come back very very slightly like I'm the only one who would notice and there have been 1 or two pin head chips here and there. Not bad at all still looks great
Still a nice job though. It's almost amazing they could do all that for
that price considering the cost of the materials and it actually looks good
when it's done
Testing the BARGAIN PAINT JOB 1995 Mustang GT Refresh project Part 7 at Maaco
https://www.youtube.com/user/MustangConnection1 1995 Mustang GT Refresh project Part 7. So will the prep pay off and can you get a bargain paint job at ...
Hey man, can you give some more detail on the prep work you did? How long
did it take? I've just got into DIY for cars like installing a stereo and
doing oil changes myself. I heard the prep work is the most important part
in getting a good paint job, especially for a cheap Macco one. Is this
something I can take on myself?
+Dominic Torres Dominic, the prep on a "bargain" paint job is critical to having something that doesn't look cheap. There are hundreds of videos on YT about bodywork and paint prep. It is really up to you to decide if it something you think you can tackle. A lot depends on what you are starting with too and how much work is needed.
To be fair your prep work will make all the difference in how this turns
out. I have seen great work from them when a car has had work done by a
skilled body man before sending it to them for a spray, can't say if it
lasted but it looked good when it rolled out. Black will definitely be a
color to test their skill set though.
This has been a topic for years, Some of the guys on the Oldsmobile forum
have done all the prep and just had the final stages done at Maaco and had
great results. If you think about it there are few body shops with as much
spray time as the painters there so that is lots of experience laying down
smooth paint.
+Flintstone Media Blasting This is so true, the two main painters there have been spraying for over 20 years at the same location when it used to be One Day Paint and Body. Looking forward to picking it up next week.
The Results of a CHEAP Paint Job
Monte Carlo gets new paint job! but looks bad to us
Okay, this car came to our shop for paint and body repair. only cause someone tried to get into the trunk and steal the man's sounds, well they couldn't get in but ...
+Chris Atkinson I don't think they ever did, I do know this it made him sick when people asked him about it, he was unhappy, I agree with you the factory silver was near flawless still, even in person it was amazing till this
+joseduran12 They fucked up the minute they put bondo on a car that had no damage. I agree they went light on the paint and it is obvious on the panel where the bondo is peaking through.
+Integrafreak1 Man he should of took whoever touched this to court, and sued them all I know, honestly I think a friend of his and him thought they could Chip Foose it, they started by sanding car beyond needing it, than covered entire body in bondo, and horribly failed as you see Just crazy he wanted it blue at that when it was a perfect factory Silver
I would of but he wouldn't tell us, he was very upset though, someday I want to see the car again to update status. I heard he had it done again and it looks great again, not sure if he went back to the factory color
+ricardo guzman ..yes you will, we are here in Northern California, and my friend 2000 Corolla was painted by Maaco for $1,500 out the door price and comes with 5 years warranty.
+D4Gamers They have a limited time special paint job for $350, but its very basic paint. If you want the car show shine, your looking to pay up to $2,000 to $3,000.
I need to get my front fiberglass fenders off of my prerunner/brorunner
