That was as BAD a call as I've seen them in years. With all these new head shot rules implementations more players are turning into soccer players on skates. "Oh if I stay down long enough, they will make a call for sure." Where's the integrity of the game going? Anisimov... should have been called for embellishment. Take those two goals out on the 5 minute powerplay and the Rangers don't even get a point from that game!

Konopka, landed in a good place , Ottawa. He has his own press agent at the Ottawa Sun. I'm sure the hack is in love with him. Don't get me wrong, this not a shot against Konopka, his signing was a good move by Ottawa for the dollars involved. As for the hit, in my opinion it was not dirty and a penalty should not have been called.

I'm on my college's cheer team and if we're not putting out our best effort when we practice our routine for our midnight madness or if the coed team isn't trying hard enough in their competition routine for practice, our head coach will yell. I don't like it but it's to tell us that we're not trying hard enough and that we need to hit everything and also if we're not listening. And yes cursing happens. We're used to it. Yes it's scary, but we have to suck it up because we have to listen.

Selanne shot his glove in the air. He threw it off towards the air and used his stick like a shot gun. So no goalies were threatened at that time. That was his goal scoring record as an NHL rookie I think for Winnipeg. But it's funny now what Artie did.

Wasn't completely ejected from the game. The Refs over did it on the penalties at Anisimov for his celebration. He got a 10 minute misconduct involved in the fracas, which was B.S. then the 2 minute unsportsmanlike conduct for shooting the goalie. The extra 4 was who knows what, but he missed the rest of the 2nd Period and some of the 3rd.

This dude needs to center a line of Enver Lisin and Gaborik. Dubinsky is a good give everything he has player, but he does not have the skill set of an Anisimov, and Lisin I see flashes of Zherdev except he actually cares bout the game and gives his all. I think that line would be exciting.

I don't think so because Anisimov plays center while Grachev plays the wing. The Rangers don't have a very strong core of centers this year, so Anisimov was practically a lock. The Rangers have a surplus of wingers this year, so it's not like Grachev needs to play this year.

I don't really think Steckle is to blame on this play. What's to blame is the stupid icing rule. It should be no touch icing, then you wouldn't have these types of incidents.

I don't believe you trolls actually think that was a clean hit. An elbow to a players forehead, according to NHL rules, is a penalty with reason for ejection. Clearly, he led his hit with his elbow and the rest of his body followed. There may not have been intent to injure, but it is definitely visible in the video that Anisimov's head was targeted as the impact point..

Charlie Coyle is a great player and did nothing wrong. He got penalized because he is taller and stronger than his opponent that was skating with his head down. Never made contact with his head and then beat up Dubinsky because he was forced to fight back to protect himself. Keep scoring goals and keep up the clean - strong - hits!!

Wow those announcers have some homer glasses on. Coyle plays the puck before even hitting him. Not to mention it was more shoulder to shoulder than anything else. If you can't see that your blind. The only reason it was called at all is because the guy was hurt. which is stupid.

Check out the replays on the MN feed, they show it was shoulder to shoulder. That's also why "Shanaban" said it was a clean hit with an unintended result and both declined to give Coyle a verbal warning and gave the officiating crew a verbal warning.

It was a head hit on the blind side. The NHL made rules against that for a reason. Getting tossed was the right call, like it or not.
