Oil doesn't help it and the rubber gaskets get cracked from the heat , The internals aren't the best either . Thanks for watching and commenting !

The mechanic i went to said with parts and labor it would cost 305 to fix my cam shaft position sensor on my 2005 dodge stratus. He said it would take an hour or two. After watching the video it seems too quick and easy for the amount he wants. Could there be a reason it cost so much?

+autorepair101 The mechanic didn't mention anything else that needed to be fixed besides the cam positioning sensor, could there be another issue he didn't mention that needs to be fixed?

My 2000 dodge stratus se has a problem with this i believe. When the check engine light came on i took it to advanced to scan for a problem and the code P0340 came up. I just had it tuned up yesterday because it wouldnt go over 2 rpm and would shake like crazy. Any info on what i should do would be greatly appreciated thank you and great video btw

+LIVINGnEXILE Thanks for watching , The computer sometimes knows you put the new sensor on and sometimes not so what I would do is unhook the main ground cable for 5 to 10 mins and hook it back up . that will reset you pcm

Ya it was a combination of my cam sensor and valve gasket it runs fine now but i ordered the cam sensor strait from dodge i would recommend doing that and maybe getting your wires checked out as well

Any permanent fixes found? I've got the same issue with my 05 stratus. Changed the sensor multiple times and get a few unencumbered miles but it falls back into old habits fast. When it happens I can unplug the sensor and plug it back in and that will usually get me back home. Afraid to do nothing but local driving at this time.
