This is a quick video showing how you can use a Mityvac Fluid Evacuator to change your Transmission Fluid without ever having to lift the car or remove a bolt.
actually you can use this with a transmission that have a filter. What you
do is syphone the oil out, than go underneath the car to do the filter
exchange. Guess what, their should be very little mess this way.
If you have a car with a transmission filter than I would not perform the
fluid change with the Mity Vac. My car does not have one so this method
works just fine.
New 2015 Chevrolet SS It is not known what kind of six-speed manual transmission is optional on the 2015 Chevrolet SS, but we suspect that it will be the same ...
Just some Sunday stuff. A fluid change on the Volvo automatic gearbox.
Just to say hello really. Things I do on a sunday. Its car related again. Have a radio type project on the go but waiting for some fittings.
Don't take this down Fred it's spot on mate, I had no idea thanks for the
education, bet there's loads of tubers interested in this mate.I wouldn't
mind dropping off my X5 for a fresh set of fluid ..lol
You certainly know what your doing with the cars mate, loving the garage
setup .Brilliant video yet again
+Simon Sparks Thanks Simon. Someone on the Volvo forum wants a look so I will keep it up. Cars= years of practice mate. In the old days I had no choice but to do my own repairs as I could not afford workshop charges. Now its a bit of a hobby. I still leave the bigger stuff to the proper workshop though.
You explained that very well
people out there will love the video. I know what you mean about the smell
of the oil for me, it always smells of hot lorries. If that makes sense.
Great video buddy
Hey Fred nowt wrong with those edges...Really enjoying the VLOG,'s andbyou
wont believe im also just about to service my Autobox on my Nissan and
found the tutorial really useful...As will many more so dont take it
down...ha ha Some really great first hand tips you just dont find in the
manuals. Before i start mine i now need to go and purchase more Trans oil as
i want to do the same double/treble flush...I will let u know how i get on
thankyou Fred.
+charlieoscar09 Thanks Charlieoscar. Glad its just not me then. Yeah the treble flush method is the safest to avoid fluid shock. Check your fluid spec as they are different. I recon its a simple enough job if you take your time, I hope you filling hole is easier to get at than mine was. ;-(
+Gary g1fsh LOL Wish I was the voice over guy as you can earn good money, sadly not. I keep getting asked if iam the voice of some Geeko lizard cartoon character as well, apparently kids just watch my videos to crack up. I agree Mark is very critical of his videos when they are so entertaining, his a natural. Mind you when you have made a few its hard not to look back and find many faults. Some of my earlier videos are full of repeated words etc, "actually" was a fav back then. However I just leave them up faults and all and the views add up, good comments and bad.
Oh yeah Fred Mark does some cracking videos he is his own worst critic but I have always been a big fan of Marks videos. He could make a video about watching paint dry sound interesting and funn. What I like about your videos is that u actually seem to put some thort into them u dont just pick up the camera and make it up as u go along lol. By the way I Keep meaning to ask u are u the bloke that does the voice over for the tsb adverts on the radio coz it sounds like u hahahahahaha its the one where the bussibess owner has a bakery and asks loyds tsb for money to buy a new oven LOLLOL
+Gary g1fsh Thanks Gary your too kind. No intro here, very basic, its just me working on my car on a sunday. Marks videos are educational and very amusing. My stuff will never be as good as his. ;-)
+The Saturn Life lmao damn. One of my neighbors has a Saturn Ion and I have no idea what year it is but I love it. Mostly since the paint job is pretty nice lol I hope he/she decides to sell it one day.
+Cairo Yes indeed, probably the easiest car to work on. Very mechanic friendly.
Volvo v70 t5 transmission problem
My auto transmission has stopped working. Car revs up but it is not moving at all. And has weird noise. Transmission fluid looks to be over the limit, but it was at ...
Sound like a leak from the torque converter. I would say a seal has busted
in there and some of the two liters it holds has come out into the main
area. The reason your car doesn't move is that the torque converter applies
the friction to the drives.
