Heh, il reste pas devant mais il reste pas bien loin quand même ! Alors que
son moteur fait presque la moitié de l'autre ^^ Honda essence, what else ?
Je suis sur que le même moteur en 1.8 et il explosait le mazout. Diesel
sucks ;)
those gti and audi were not serious with you. I am sure B20vtec got no
chance to beat Gti, here is the prove...
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1l7phnJJSNM which I beleive a more accurate
and fairer race. Vtec can not replace turbo, but Turbo can repalce Vtec.
This is why in future Honda, they are going to add Turbo on the Vtec. fact
is fact, we can not defy law of physics. Torque wins....
+Peter Kensington No, not really. HP is telling you how many torque you have at any given RPM, and vice versa. Goal is to keep as much torque as possible trough entire RPM range. Lack of torque at low revs N/A cars compensate with shorter/closer gearbox ratios. Turbo engines do have much higher torque, but it doesn't mean nothing if there isn't enough power. From my experience, only thing that matters at the end is HP and HP/Tone for straight line acceleration.
i see, you are correct, my point i am making is Turbo develops power faster than NA, no matter what this is a well fact. one, because, you can not replace volume just because its VTEC or NA. The only fast Vtec i have seen in Australia is an old 1979 Civic fitted with b18C-plus high lift cams-rev till 1000rpm no turbo, the ower said, traction is a problem and does quater mile around 12.01. This is it. But you trade off comfort /safety vs rigidity. You can work on power to weight ratio, but Torque to weight ratio is more important for short race.
Project is to make Clio little bit faster, and also there is hopefully Astra Turbo coming soon. And what I anticipate most - match against B20 and Megane RS265 tuned to 305 hp.
