Orioles' John Angelos on how the system is failing Baltimore
Gwen Ifill talks to John Angelos, executive vice president of the Baltimore Orioles, about his defense of protestors, the economic factors behind the city's anger ...
If this is all about job creation, we are in a world of trouble, beginning
with that N.A.F.T.A. that was signed by Clinton. It started the massive
closings of our manufacturing as well as service companies that supplied
jobs for our communities nationwide.
Today, over 90% of the products we use, is made in China and not by
accident either. Even Hillary publicly stated N.A.F.T.A. turned out being
destructive for our economy and should be changed or even eliminated. And
now we will be adding another 11+ million illegals to this problem. I
think it runs deeper. Its called socialism.
Russia already went thru this during the 20th century where America came to
their rescue several times, saving millions from further starvation and
death. And now, we are blindly allowing it to happen here now. God help
us all. Semper Fi
+fleetwoodray You cant blame that on Clinton alone though the issue is much bigger than that:In my country you’re seeing a horror show. You’re seeing a retrenchment in terms of family income, you’re seeing the abandonment of basic services, such as public education, functional public education. You’re seeing the underclass hunted through an alleged war on dangerous drugs that is in fact merely a war on the poor and has turned us into the most incarcerative state in the history of mankind, in terms of the sheer numbers of people we’ve put in American prisons and the percentage of Americans we put into prisons. No other country on the face of the Earth jails people at the number and rate that we are.I’m utterly committed to the idea that capitalism has to be the way we generate mass wealth in the coming century. That argument’s over. But the idea that it’s not going to be married to a social compact, that how you distribute the benefits of capitalism isn’t going to include everyone in the society to a reasonable extent, that’s astonishing to me.And so capitalism is about to seize defeat from the jaws of victory all by its own hand. That’s the astonishing end of this story, unless we reverse course. Unless we take into consideration, if not the remedies of Marx then the diagnosis, because he saw what would happen if capital triumphed unequivocally, if it got everything it wanted. And one of the things that capital would want unequivocally and for certain is the diminishment of labour. They would want labour to be diminished because labour’s a cost. And if labour is diminished, let’s translate that: in human terms, it means human beings are worth less. From this moment forward unless we reverse course, the average human being is worth less on planet Earth. Unless we take stock of the fact that maybe socialism and the socialist impulse has to be addressed again; it has to be married as it was married in the 1930s, the 1940s and even into the 1950s, to the engine that is capitalism. What we did then was redeal the cards out again with the NEW DEAL. The deck is stacked right now and what America needs is to re-shuffle the deck and deal out the cards again.
Baltimore Orioles (the birds)
A short video of Baltimore Orioles at the feeder and the hummingbird feeder.
Thanks for commenting. I haven't seen other birds come to the oriole
feeders. The hummers try, but I don't think they can figure out the
spring-loaded closings on this particular one. It keeps the ants and bees
out. Love it!
Thanks for the video! I just saw my first Baltimore Oriole (female) ever
this morning in my apple tree. The tree is in full bloom and she was going
from flower to flower drinking nector. Such a beautiful bird!
I put an oriole feeder out and haven't seen a bird go near it. I live at
the edge of a forest and there are birds all over my backyard, but they
don't go near the feeder, so...I would say count your blessings!
I'm so glad you have Orioles. They're my cardinals, since I can't seem to
attract them here. Each year I look forward to their call and the brilliant
orange of the males. ENJOY!
The Life of Baltimore Orioles in HD Music by Doemee from jamendo.com Filmed at the end of April, in May and June. Has also nesting sightings and closeups.
@lmmsl Thank you very much, my dear Menu. I'm so happy that you loved my
Orioles. It was big challenge to film these birds. They are moving so fast
and most of the time on a top of trees and moving constantly. It was for
about couple of months efforts that I felt I have enough of footage to make
a video. I also love these birds, they have such lovely calls and of course
so beautiful. It is my pleasure to know that you also love these birds.
With Love and Hugs, dear Menu. :O)
Such charming birds those Baltimore Orioles. Maryland is very fortunate to
have it as their state bird! That striking contrast of black and orange is
so unique and really delights the eye, and I love their soft gentle songs.
I've seen them only rarely in my neighborhood here in Massachusetts, but I
did see quite a few of them as I was walking around greater Boston a couple
months ago. Thanks for sharing with us yet another of God's great
masterpieces!
How amazing to see this Oriole. One of my favourite birds to always watch
and never get bored of them..he is freely moving here and there and very
srtiking to see through the greenary. Like a light shining through it!! Its
a wonder how you found him and I watched it with such joy.. Thank you so
much for your effort of filming this bird several times and it is very
valuable for me.. A thousand stars for you :))

Thank you for your wonderful comment! I'm always get excited, when I see
Baltimore Orioles. I feel so lucky to film them in their different
activities, even around their nest, which is in so high place on the
tree...:) They are sure one of the greatest masterpieces of God's
creations. Thank you for watching it and have a great Friday and weekend,
my dear friend! :)
@mbhsug Thank you very much for your kind words, my dear friend. Yes, this
bird is so colorful and have such nice and loud call - you always recognize
they are around here, but it is not always easy to spot them. They are
moving fast and very high usually. So, I consider myself lucky to film
them. Have wonderful week full of joy and beautiful Nature. :O)
@ShereKhan77 Thanks, my dear. I appreciate you keep watching my videos and

you overcome your obstacles and building your site again. Take care, my

Oriole is stunning, I didn't even suspect that there is such a beauty
flying around us. And you did absolutely amazing job capturing it, two
thumbs up! Also I love the snake who invited us to it's world:) Music is
very nice, creating just right mood. Thanks for another great video, I
enjoyed it a lot.

This is really a very beautiful place. Your oriole looks great. What a
lovely bird! He has built the nest very safe in the branches. Too bad we
don't have such birds. Thank you for your beautiful video.
