@HowTheWorldWorks In-fuckin-deed. No really, that's a word.. I looked it up..... =) I had to remove my blinders and stop defending the repubs when I knew they were wrong... I knew I was doing it too.. So dishonest ... It made me feel uncomfortable, .... in conversation, I'd find myself backed in corners, trying to equivocate and rationalize away things I knew deep down I didn't believe. Then I used this little thing called LOGIC. lol Once I let go of my EMOTION and used REASON, I saw the light.

I see you're pointing still to "how obama got elected". Well I'm from Poland so I'm not following events in US that closely (I'm just subscribed to your blog :D) but the best example for me that shows the role of media (and probably police too) is how they kept out of public the case of murder of sgt. Jan Pawel Pietrzak and his wife Quiana. In short 4 black marines brutally murdered the two (most probably racist reasons) but that kind of news would "not fit" couple of days before elections.

The NY governor is legally allowed to pick whomever to fill the vacant Senate seat. The problem is that if Caroline is picked, the seat will still be vacant, sort of like the 2 in MA, the other one in NY, etc. Rick Warren? Obama is just appeasing conservatives with flag waving. He'll be in Washington soon enough with the rest of the pick pockets. I figured out a way to profit from the bailouts- I'll sell air conditioners, ink, and paper to the US Mint. Those money printing presses are hot!

These Congressmen who gave themselves a raise -- aren't these the same Congressmen who shrilly denounce corporate CEOs for receiving high salaries? If I'm offended by a CEO's income level, then I can boycott his product & not buy stock in his company. If I don't approve of what politicians are paid, then tough luck; they take money from you at gunpoint. Did you name your new channel after the book *How the World Works*, which Jude Wanniski wrote to defend supply-side economics?

Obama does not support gay marriage, but he also doesn't OPPOSE it. He supports civil unions and equal rights of gay people. I also think marriage should be between a man and a woman, but I don't give a damn if gays do get married. You simply have no real idea of what Obama "believes". You just believe you know what he believes. This is called "faith" or "belief" and as such has no place in political commentary or journalism in general. I'm tired of your videos, for now.

Nice qualifier, and changing of the terms, then vilifying him for it. Did he say he says the government should be able to tap whoever, whenever they want? No You see its the actual anti Americans like you that want to make our officials jump through millions of hoops and go through so much red tape and impossible standards just to get a warrant to wire tap a terrorist. Stimulous package? How about dumping money into a god damn hole. The government should not interfere with the free market, that is communism, not capitalism. If a country is failing, because no one wants their horrible shit. They sohuld have two options, fail and die out, or create products that meet the markets demands. I could honestly care less about Caroline being appointed. Hopefully she doesn't know what she's doing and does less harm to the state then some activist leftist who "knows what they're doing" would do. Also it just sets her to lose the position to someone else more conservative down the road.

The democrats are going to be positioning the repeal of Obama care as the loss of benfits, namely the closing of the doughnut hole. The deal Big Pharma stuck with Obama allows Pharma to extend patent protections, restricts negotiated pricing under medicare/aide and restrict importation. In exchange, big pharma temporarily covers the costs of closing the hole and spent millions publicly supporting the legislation. Restricting consumer choice and manipulating markets to win the political victory.

Something that I noticed when BHO started talking about bipartisanship was that he mentioned reforming the law to prevent ambulance chasers from filing frivolous lawsuits. @TehBANN3D this is another part of your conspiracy theory. this idea that only human action reveals preferences. i can never reveal my preference for a good other than through the market price, but i know through introspection a price i might be willing to pay. Also my preference for ice cream yesterday was not shown because i was not able to buy any at that time, however if some were available i would have bought it. To an Austrian theorist my preferences for ice cream didn't exist yesterday.

@unweirdly The companies rather then being content with a substantial profit margins, They left for cheaper labor, while keeping the false front as being the same old American pride building company as it founding. We were tricked into taking lower wages and sold over priced credit, so that we wouldn't notice the drastic fall in our value. but we protect these traitors. @ismdism Then start your own business and offer the item yourself at a price you believe to be worth the time and effort. The free market rewards the risk taker. Nothing motivates a person more than knowing you get a reward for your work. Talk about the absurdity of the lack-of news coverage over the 2011 March for Life. This event continues to grow, and the issue is constantly getting more controversial. Maybe you have reservations about covering this issue, but I'm just saying it should be covered - truthfully. Respect for human life is an essential element of SOCIETY. If it's true that a fetus is human life, do a google search for "abortion statistics 2011" and look at table 99 on census.gov and see how we respect life.

The snippets that I heard, I actually liked. The problem is that he wasted two years and way too much money on bogus "stimulus" and Obamacare. Government spending is way out of control and there are no sacred cows. Education & Energy should be curtailed severely. Entitlements and the military moderately. And like many people, I am tired of him calling spending "stimulus" or "investments". He is like my wife. He bought a $300 pair of shoes and claimes he saved money because it was 50% off.

@unweirdly because the politicians don't address directly how companies in America only have one purpose. to fleece the American people for as much money as possible. this was not possible when the Government was first formed because there where laws in place that made companies provide a "public good". But today these laws no longer exist we live under the lie that Companies have a vested interest in America, beyond their selling profits. but look at how companies are jumping else-ware.

@americanbandwidth You just described American crony capitalism a la Jeff Immelt brand that has captured the executive branch to suppress innovation and competition and also simultaneously squeeze the tax payer to maintain the MIC. In fact this is no new thing, crony capitalism has been a favorite past time of big conglomerates for greater than a century. One of the main reasons to be a cronyist is to suppress innovation by smaller competitors that may put them out of business.

I saw Hanks Greens video. He wasn't being political. A lot of his subscribers decided to turn his rant into an argument for universal healthcare. I don't know why we need universal healthcare to set price controls on medication , but many of his subscribers were under the opinion that the only way to lower the cost of medication would be to give the government complete control of their healthcare. I just want to say , be careful with hank he really didn't make an argument.

Our exports to China did increase rapidly last year -- by about $23 billion, and this did support job creation. But imports increased about three times as fast, by $71 billion, which cost the U.S. many more jobs than exports supported. On balance, the growth in our trade deficit with China cost the United States at least a half million jobs in 2010. We have huge trade deficits with China because of massive currency manipulation and many other unfair trade practices.

@chucknorris1220 well i guess i should put it this way what public works did was take wealth and MOVE it from rich hands to poor hands. it REDISTRIBUTED it did not CREATE it like traditional jobs do with free markets. the incentive to start and grow business's and take the risk of putting your own capital into it is to CREATE wealth. you cant CREATE wealth by taxing and giving tax money to other people no matter what those people are doing for that money.

I'd like you to do more videos that have to do with all of this persistent misinformation there is out there about food and product safety and such. People really think that everything is poison, food is poison, etc. I was talking to someone recently who was talking about how all our food as these additives, aspartame, etc., but he overlooks the very thing that is known to be problematic and that's good old salt....Just as an example.

Life isn't fair. There's no change you can do to political or economic policy that will keep an earthquake from destroying your home and your family. Nature is unfair. Forced altruism is theft. Why not simply ask for help? From charities or causes?

@TehBANN3D and the bit about gov. being coercive...not a bad thing...here is why. It is possible to put a highway through a neighborhood at a cost to them and a benefit to everyone else in town. If the benefits > costs then it means social welfare is greater. In order to remain pareto optimal you just have to tax some benefit away and compensate the cost. (that way the neighborhood is indifferent and the town keeps the difference)

@whimppy You've explained price mechanics. Not how externalities are a class of economic wealth. First, you cannot quantify *interpersonal* utility. You cannot quantitatively relate person A's utility of bundle A to person B's utility of bundle B. You can ordinally quantify *person X's* utility of bundle A and bundle B, because it is revealed through the individuals action but that is not what you are arguing [...]

@TehBANN3D And just because you cannot measure an externality perfectly doesn't mean it does not exist. A baker next to my house might spill in a wonderful scent. This is clearly a positive externality. Just because it doesn't have a market transaction doesn't mean it doesn't exist. Preferences don't equal data, nor to preferences equal action, preferences are internal and actions are external.

I'll grant you that a physicist might be more helpful if I want to produce fissile material, and an engineer might be more apt at making a jet engine. @LogicBeforeNorms police officers produce nothing for profit they get funding from taxes, there is nothing wrong with police officers, firefighters etc. they dont produce anything to be sold for profit, therefor the tax money is not remade from a product or service the police officers provide so they dont add to GDP growth. again these jobs are needed they just dont provide growth.
