Spain: 'Encourage consumerism!' Fruit farmers protest price plummet
Activists from the Union of Farmers and Ranchers of Aragon (UAGA) gathered in central Zaragoza, on Friday to protest the ongoing crisis in food prices.
Russia is imposing its own bans against the European Union in retaliation for sanctions over Moscow's support for Ukraine's rebels. Prime Minister Dmitry ...
Hey Putin...Remember Hitler? Saddam Hussein? Your time is coming.
We will all watch your own people jerk you head off with a rope. Then kick
it around like a soccer ball. Oh yes. Its coming.
LMFAO at the retarded comments here saying Russia is wrong or will starve.
Most Russians are quite capable of growing their own food and livestock.
They have been doing it for generations unlike the people in the west. When
your supermarkets empty you are fucked! The cities would be rife with
looting, murder just for a tin of beans!
+Alfred Simcik lol what a tool you are. We already signed deals with South America for their food as well as China, at the same time increasing local production (for a country with the largest land mass,, way over due imo). We are more than capable of feeding our entire population. People in Russia laugh at you, like we need disgusting French moldy cheese, who eats that horrible stuff? ;) Oh and is that why Europe imports Russian/ Belorussian fertilizer? Most potent land? Ever heard of 'Chernozem'? Where do you people get your information, seriously...CNN? SKY? Muffington Post? losers, go sell your rotten chicken else where. I hope this is a lifetime ban. Can't trust people that shoot down an airliner then blame it on someone else to push their own agenda, disgusting.
It will not be too long before the Islamic World, Africa and China follow
in the footstep of Russia
Everyone type in the search box:
Vladimir Putin exposes the NWO
Yes I agree. Now that Russia has already invaded another country and got away with it, will inspire the likes of North Korea, China and Islamic State to also invade other countries. This is the time to do it, with pacifists controlling governments like they did just prior to WW2. In particular, given that the US, UK and France are all leaderless like they were then, is almost like a walk down memory lane.I just wonder tho if these countries will suddenly realise they desperatly need leaders, not speech makers, before its to late.It is kinda ironic tho that Russia is doing this, after what Hitler did to it.
The racist westerners might able to oppress Africa and Muslims, but when you mess with Russia it is a different story! Hopefully Russia can also save Africa from these racist people
Paying the price of Russia's food import ban
A U-turn at the Russian border may be the only choice for truckers delivering produce from the European Union, after Moscow banned imports of most food from ...
Food won't get any cheaper. Producers are not going to go along with
reduced income. In order to preserve profits, they will raise the price the
food, not lower it. Food has inelastic demand so they can do this.
+LoggerheadShrike I agree. It will make them go bankrupt or reduce their production to a small percentage of what they were selling until now. Also, the real problem for the US and EU producers is that their place on the market will be already taken, when the embargo is lifted next year (I suspect it will be more than a year for many). Agrentina, other Latin American countries, Brazil, China, and of course Russia itself will fill the void on the market very quickly, all arrangements are already done.
+Teo NesterovCheap for now. Western producers have to recover money they've already invested in the last harvest - its a hit they cannot dodge, so they will dump the current stock cheaper. But that stock won't last forever. They won't be putting money to grow the same size crop next harvest. The idea that they're just going to keep throwing money into growing a too large crop and sell it for less is obviously nonsense. The market has shrunk - they will reduce the crop accordingly, to save on input costs, and make up lost profits from a reduced market with raised prices.
I guess EU and USA and all the other pricks will have to start thinking before they try to push Russia again. And I am very glad that finally Russian farmers will have their chance to fill the empty spaces of the shelves. The European producers will lose their place on the market. Now let's wait for the response for the Dobrolet business. That thing was personal. Big mistake, America!
+Teo Nesterov And will be even cheaper! I live in Russia, and came to the store today. On the counter 7 varieties of apples price has not changed. But shares of many nashizh farmers grew by 30-35%.
Russia should invade the rest of Ukraine and let another 10 to 7 million
Ukrainians starve to death and maybe some Russian citizens also so Russia
can blame Europe and maybe in 50 years blame a Ukrainian politician for
everyone who starved under Russias orders.
Voy a ir 10 dias de viaje a los angeles y no puedo irme sin pasar por ahi,

EU farmers to receive €125 million in aid after Russian food import ban
The European Commission said on Monday it will introduce support measures for certain perishable fruits & vegetables, after Russia imposed restrictions on ...
What a fking waist of effort and energy from an entrepreneurs point of
view. First we have EU elections, where no-one votes, because it is
useless, then we have these rotorheads cooking up and playing Napoleon,
then they get fried and destroy their own garden. The russians think, hmm.
we want to build domestic industry, we want to generate new jobs and new
technologies, we want to trade with other nations than the bullies (US) and
paper pushers (EU).
Is this really the only thing that the EU leaders can come up with. . .
Parliament members, free apartment, unrestricted travel, taxfree salary ...
22k€/month. It's soon time !
hehehe - just watched the EU propaganda ad trying to tell us that Albania
is the same as us ..... Yeah right. EU 'enlargement' is nothing but empire
building. Every significant European nation has had an 'empire' in the past
- how did that work out? were the people happy? did they get a vote on
being taken over? did they feel enfranchised by being ruled by a big
central power in which they had almost no say? .... Yet it is happening all
over again ....... Disgusting. Welcome to the EUSSR.
A blockade against farmer on a question that never should have arisen. So
called loans to Ukraine that can never be repaid. No discont from Russia
for gas. Considerable higher prices from USA for replacement gas,if it even
appears. Costs of rearming and a new Cold war.
At the same time is EU willing to confiscate private bank accounts because
they run out of Money.
This is only getting worse.
Why do the EU, whom we have never voted for, pretend that the people
support their interference in our farming. We all know that CAP is a
disaster better handled by individual nations - like so many other things.
One rule does not fit all .... especially when there is no mandate and
nobody ever voted for it.
The richest group of people in europe the mass land owners getting another
freebee from the tax payer, bloody disgrace.
Who is hit hardest by Russia's trade ban?
RT | August 8, 2014 Germany and Poland will lose the most trade with Russia, and neighboring Finland and Baltic states Lithuania and Latvia will lose a bigger ...
Maybe initially the Russian consumer will be hit.in the long run there are
suppliers just waiting for their chance on such a large market
Brazil and India are among the biggest exporters of Beef and both are BRICS
In fact I see BRICS finally displacing EU as the main trading partner of
Russia.
Both China and India are speeding up the pipelines from Russia
So in the end EU will be the only losers here.
