Universal, comprehensive sex education informs young kids how their body works, shows them how to use birth control if they decide to be sexually active and protect themselves against unwanted pregnancies. It also cuts down on the demand for abortion. So there's less money spent on social programs and for girls that get pregnant in high school only 2% of them every graduate college which means their kids live in poverty with them. Its a smart idea for sex education to include all these things. Parents still have the right to install their religious guilt and shame on their children and make them feel bad about themselves but at least the children understand more about their bodies and more about people that may be different then them. That promotes tolerance which was in short supply at that meeting.
