Sunset and Night Flight in PA28 Piper Archer VH-HTM
On Sunday 13th of July 2014, Arjun and I took VH-HTM, the RAAF Richmond Flying club's PA28A Piper Archer on a flight from Maitland YMND via Mount ...
You're right, regards from Colombia, big fan (I wish I could have as much experience with flightsims as you do, as well as being able to flight with a friend; I also wish I had a good PC as yours and as many add-ons as you do too!)
which *do* you prefer . obviously real world is better. But on sim you can fly anywhere which might not be possible in real world , if you crash you get another chance and finally fuel is free. But if the sim is made in 4D ( such as some console games soon ) then you might aswell fly in sim
Real Piper Archer VH-HTM flies the VFR lane "Worm" Maitland
On Sunday 13th of July 2014, Arjun and I took VH-HTM, the RAAF Richmond Flying club's PA28A Piper Archer on a flight from Richmond YSRI to Maitland ...
Can you please upload the full flight plan for this........wishing to get
the hours up on A2A Cherokee and nothing better than a scenery flight!!
Great video, learnt a few tips & tricks!
+Matthew Cotter (FSXXTREMEPILOT) Don't have access to the full flight log at this time, Arjun might be able to do one for me, but here's the basics:YSRI - YMNDRIC MQD KKI EGT/N110A016B (then the VFR Lane along the rail in the D589A area via Paterson, Hilldale, Wallarobba, Wirragulla, Dungog, D589B area climbing to 2000ft, to...) SRO After Stroud ROad we requested and recieved clearance from Williamtown RAAF tower to track direct to Sugarloaf Point SUGWithout this clearance we would have had to track north on the VFR lane to Gloucester GCR and Wirradgurie WDU and then track south of Old Bar/Taree to the coast before heading back south, past Forster to Sugarloaf Point. We had that in as a contingency in case we couldn't take the short cut (ie: if RAAF Williamtown had F/A-18 Hornets in the R583A Restricted area.)From SUG Sugarloaf Point the track was offshore via the VFR Coastal lane passing BRI Broughton Island, Contour flying the coast around 2nm offshore, to Cabbage Tree Island, then tracking straight till abeam Point Stephens Lighthouse to ANA Anna Bay. There is a requirement to recieve clearance from Williamtown before preceeding beyond Anna Bay usually at 500ft (five hundred, feels real low!) to Nobbys Head NBB. You'd then need to climb above 1500ft before turning inland remaining south of Newcastle proper (there's some 700ft tall radio masts)After that we flew just north of Mount Sugarloaf (1751ft tall television broadcast towers on top of a 534ft tall hill) then direct KKI Kurri Kurri (for the second time) and into YMND Maitland.Filing on Vatsim I'd go:YSRI - YMNDRIC MQD KKI EGT/N110A016B D589A D589B SRO/N110A020 GCR WDU SUG BRI ANA/N110A005 NBB KKI/N115A025 YMNDAssuming you're flying VH-HTM with the GTN650 GPS (it has built in ADSB) the remarks would go PBN/O2S1 NAV/RNP2 REG/VHHTM PER/AHaving a Sydney/Newcastle VTC helps with detail, but CASA On Track shows some of the D589A/B portion at //ontrack.casa.gov.au/index?craftType=fixed&aeroId=1325&direction=inbound&flightId=8109#Some have been known to call the section between East Greta and Stroud Road the "Worm"
