if you encounter error 1604 or any other 1600 errors follow these steps Step 1: Download Redsn0w 0.9.4 Step 2: Download the correct 3.1.2 firmware. Step 3: Run Redsn0w, and select your firmware from step 2. Hit next, and follow the on-step instructions to get into DFU mode. Step 4: As soon as your iPhone screen turns white, immediately unplug the phone and exit Redsn0w. Plug your phone back in. Step 5: Open up iTunes and restore to Whited00r firmware as usual. thumps up so others can see

Whited00r let's you have ios 6 FEATURES and an app that let's you get apps that used to work with ios 3 but not anymore. Also if you experience problems and can't restore use redsn0w or iReb and put your device in PWNED DFU mode and try again!

this worked fine, it is ios 6 however both the phone and itunes have it labeled as ios 3.1.3 so basically its pointless to have ios 6 because you cant download any apps with the ios it thinks you have... any solutions?

People when you click on the "App Store", swipe your finger to the left and click on "Time-Machine" to find the app your looking for. Still not iOS 6 doe !! :-/

No It does not have to be. However whited00r is prejailbroken, so after you restore your iphone using that it'll be jailbroken

Hi, i had my iphone 3gs 3.1.3 firmware 05.12.01 jailbroken & unlocked coz i purchased it not knowing it had a phone block put on by Optus (Australian network provider) Got da phone back was told never 2put an Optus sim in da phone incase it blocked da phone again.. So i didn't, i put my Vodafone sim in made one call, changed my caller i.d 2send & i downloaded a ringtone from itunes.. Now when i try 2make a call it goes straight to a voice msg saying that da handset has call barring.. PLEASE HELP

@MrAJsTech Hi I was able to unlocked my 3gs (3.1.3) a week ago and it worked when I inserted my international sim. Now when I took off my international sim and put back my AT&T sim. Today I tried putting my international roaming sim. It says no service. 3G turned off, I also Reseted the network settings. But to no avail. I also reboot the device then it was searching for network for a minute or two then later it just said NO SERVICE. Is there a glitch on the ultrasn0w?any help will b great thx

Even though you unlock and jailbreak. It will only last you 14 days. Apple has said in there contract that when you update to ios4 or iTunes 9.2. Any iPhone on that software will get a message every 14 days that they need to plug in there iPhone 4 and restore or update. If you have a jailbroken iPhone on ios4 (including iphone4) your iPhone will send a message to apple saying that the warranty for that iPhone is no more.

@lemon271121 there is a jailbreak for old bootrom 3gs's but there are requirments you have to be jailbroken on 3.1.2 and 3.1.3 without the use of spirit... this tagets very little users uncluding me so in my eyes i doont see the jailbreak worth it but if you are one of those i would be glad to help you out contact me on skype : fitbikeco10

@peterzinfandel Dunno if you're still having a problem with this, but I HEARD that no iPhone, whether jailbroken or not, will be compatible with T-Mobile 3G. I also saw a video a few days ago of someone unlocking his iPhone and using a T-Mobile sim, but he turned 3G off. He didn't explain why but that could be the reason :)

ok so i upgrade my 8gb to ios4 and everything worked find then i tried my 16 but when i do it everytime i try to install ultrasnow and it starts to unpack and get to the mobile subtrate section it freezes and then restarts the phone to the apple logo and then doesnt turn it on... anyone knows howto fix this??

have a 3gs with 3.1.3 bootload 5.12.1, jailbreak it with spirit and then install the ultrasn0w 0.93. After reboot, I put in the tmobile sim and it shows tmobile bars on the top but the screen says it detected a different sim and wanted me to reconnect to itune? Any suggestion?

This does not work on iPhone 2G, iPhone 2G stopped getting baseband updates a long time ago. If you want to unlock the iPhone 2G, you need to download Bootneuter from Cydia. UltraSn0w unlocks basebands from 3.0 - 4.0, 4.26.08, 5.11.07, 5.12.01, 5.13.03, and 5.13.04 basebands.

hey I finished with the jailbreak of redsnow but when I try to open cydia it gives me and "Unable to Load (the internet connection appears to be offline)" I've tried everything even using a at&t sim card and error message still appears. PLEASE HELP!

@musicstielo you need to be jailbroken if you are on 3.1.3 or 3.1.2 i can help you right now but if you are on 4.0 you need to wait a little bit for the official jailbreak to be released

go ahead and click "OK". On the second popup window, click "Cancel". You sould then be taken to the main iTunes screen. If your iPhone is listed under Devices, right-click it and attempt a backup. If your phone isn' there, then you're stuck restoring it. A backup at this moint may or may not be advisable: because your iPhone went into recovery mode suddenly, there's most likely a software glitch causing the problem which would simply be carried over once you've restored your phone.

BOOOOM! Been at this for a couple of hours now with the same error. All done thanks to this vid. Basically peeps dont use the whited00r image file in redsn0w. Download a fresh 4.2.1 image file and update your phone with it in itunes using shift then clicking restore, then go back to the image file downloaded and use that in redsn0w. Cheers dude (y)

normal if you still using same provider and probably the unlock if you want to use different sim card from other provider. i did not change provider so i just restore the normal one.

3.1.3 is the base iOS for whited00r 6 so that it will be faster. You can restore back to 4.2.1 anytime just update it using iTunes as you wish.

make sure to use the file that is compatible with 3GS when you use redsnow to get to DFU mode it can be found in the iphoneheat website

there are 2 versions of whited00r 6 one is normal and unlock. i think you needed the unlock version and check some forums.
