Here's how to root Sprint Galaxy Note 2 SPH-L900! Also works for Android 4.3 and 4.4.2, use the latest version of SuperSU instead in Step 3! Download and ...
To get this process to work you need to uncheck Auto Reboot in Odin after
flashing TWRP. If you let it auto reboot then the recovery is wiped when
the system boots on its own, but if you uncheck it then you can do a
battery pull and then boot into recovery no problem. Hope this helps
someone :)
+Justin Fisher <---- Listen to him i was getting so frustrated because i did everything right but it would open the recovery. I tried what you said and it worked thank you very much
Not kidding...just uncheck auto reboot and when Odin shows complete you unplug your device from your computer and remove your battery then replace your battery and boot into recovery.
This video does still work.
Just remember that when you're getting ready to do the odin. "Un-check"
the "auto-reboot". Then once it passes, disconnect the usb cable and then
take out the battery from the phone. After this, you can do the volume up
button+home button+Power button. This will take you to the "TeamWin"
screeen.
+bob thompkins After all those steps are done and you've restarted your phone, one of the first things it'd say is the "SuperSu" has stopped working. Now you need to go to the play store and update to the latest version. Just type in the play store " Super SU" and it'd give you the correct finding. Update it, when it prompts to disable the "KNOX", just do the "normal" way. After all these steps your phone is now ROOTED and up to date.
Also it's important that you install the newer "SU" which should read something like this "UPDATE-SuperSU-v1.99r4" and not the older one that is shown in the video.
