In-depth PC review of Jazz Jackrabbit, a sidescrolling platformer by Epic Games and Digital Dimensions in 1994. Jazz Jackrabbit brings the essence of 16-bit ...
I remembered playing this when it first came out and I loved it back then.
The music the sounds the graphics the art and the framerate. I never got
the full game. Years later I got the Jazz CD and... I was really
disappointed in the whole ordeal. Yes, Jazz Jackrabbit had a LOT of levels,
and half of those I never touched because the levels were huge and boring.
I had better games to play in 2002. Nowadays I can't even play the
shareware, I don't know what happened to my skill as a child.
Ohh, Jazz, you forgotten chraracter, who should make a comeback. I remember
when I was young and I was with my brother and father in a game shop. My
brother had to choose one game for PC. I wanted a some Jazz Jackrabbit
game, but my brother choose Mortal Kombat 3. He still regrets that
decision. Jan
Good video man.
Bubsy and Shadow the hedgehog should take notes from this game.
Love the soundtrack and the game itself to, though I find the speed sonic
gimmick more of a challenge for the experienced players because I take my
time with this game.
My first introduction to the game was the Holiday Hare Xmas episode on one
floppy disk given free with a PC magazine in 1995. It was fully playable on
its own, not requiring the basic episodes. Gosh, I believe I still have
that diskette somewhere!
I love this game - the sequel is way better though, the two player
same-screen co-op was fucking amazing as well and is still one of the most
fun games to play with a friend on the same computer.
Yeah. If only Epic would release new JJ game or at least give license to
people who'd want to do it... Also JJ is as much ripoff of Sonic as
Terraria is ripoff of Minecraft. So not ripoff at all.

Where can I find that 8-bit(ish) version of Little Drummer Boy from the
