I loved how they would dance in there Music Videos it was a new thing for me because now its like lame because theres no dancing. I really like Janet but they could have stuck there old theme they had with the other girl. Ugh sorry i get off topic a bit talking about kpop but this has all my points to my main point got to the bottom from my main point: They needed to change to new stuff and not stay with there old theme for so many years like i got a little tierd of Boyfriend having the same theme for so long but last summer it was the point were they had a weird teaser and ended up coming back as real mean or like how how Girls Genoration(SNDS) had there girly stage of there song I Got A Boy oo its a boy hahaha hes so cute OMG too there comeback song Mr. Mr. In 2014 or like 4 MINUTE came from there song last year Whacha' doin and whats your name girly girl cute hot teen girls too there new song Crazy they showed there own age. Bigbang changed there theme ever time they had a comeback but where still the same music wize. They had the same feel of plays song evergirl though there song was boy like hahaham What im saying they just needed different themes but i mean not liking others will mess up a group like Jessica from SNDS was resent kicked out and now the company SM Entertainment lost a lot on $ SNDS isnt popular anymore its like oh yea i remember them there are like 10 to 15 girl groups infront of them now they dropped from #2(2ne1 is #1) to like 14 or something. Skip to my point: Im still just saying that a little change is good with all original members

Apparently you can't afford to do mistakes with these girls, seem to be a misunderstanding between them all. Fanny mentioned in a few interview that first it was fun, and then it was all about the adult deciding for them instead of them deciding which made it not even fun anymore. Anais said in an interview that Matthew Knowles made them work really hard,so hard that they felt like they were just products making money. As long as Fanny was happy with the choices in music she'd continue. With Play she couldn't bring them to her own genre or back to where they were, so she quit. It's a shame, Anais got an amazing voice. She's no longer in the industry, but I do hope that she can donate her voice to charity or something - getting to hear her again

@BriapcdOTH902102388 Thanks for the info :) (i love finding out origins of different songs, especially when they've be re-recorded by different artists). I looked up i5 on youtube and all I could find was a live performance of theirs on Jenny Jones. Didn't care for their performance though, but it did lay some ground work for how it should sound....and their version (the original version) sounds better than CG. (also the songs been re-recorded more times, Tata Young, and a group called SHE). :)

I honestly don't think there was a misunderstanding with Anna at all. I had heard Fanny and Anaïs did not get along with her back when they were teens but Rosanna did, but since Fanny and Anaïs has more power and standing individually than Rosanna they overruled her and kicked Anna out and used the 2006 offer silence from Anna as their excuse to ban her. A lot happens between 15 and 21, they are adults and should've given Anna a much deserved second chance, but instead they got egos and such.

@tjomirs Play's version of Cinderalla is NOT the original version. While I agree that IMO it is the best version a very short lived girl group called i5 did it before them and wrote it. But they didn't stick around long enough for it to be a hit and then Play covered it and thier version (until the Cheetah Girls) became the most famous. Most people think ethier Play or CG did it first and don't know about i5 just thought you should know though. like your comment though and agree about Rosie (:

@tjomirs Your Welocome. I LOVE learning baout the music I love too. Learning who wrote what, produced and such. Tata's version is my 2nd fav next to Play. CG were too kiddy for my taste and she were ok IMO but not great. It's crazy that so many people don;t know anything about the music they listen to but I like to be correctly lnformed and know the stories "behind the music" I like sharing info as well with people who want to know. Cool to see another person who does as well. :)

I feel so sorry for Anna. Fanny and Anais said in an interview that it would not interfere with Anna. becuse she was already busy It's okay to Rosanna not to, because when Rosanna was asked if she wanted to be with as she thanked her no at the last minute. Rosanna was also good. But my favorite was Anna. Sanne is the new member of PLAY is really good and has sung with one of Sweden requires great artist called E-TYPE. But PLAY is not the same without Anna

You probably get this comment alot, but....thank you so much for putting this video and timeline up. I just recently got reintroduced to this group, and love their new stuff. But with any music group that has shifts and such, I always like to know backstories :) (my friend always jokes and calls me "Matt Pinfield" a former MTV VJ lol). It's a shame that Rosie pulled out at the last minute, however her solo stuff is good. Check out "The first time". it sounds awesome.

Quite honestly, I feel like Fanny has had a lot (if not everything) to do with the demise of Play. She was my favorite member at one point, but she was the one to leave the group a second time, and if I remember correctly, she never made a statement regarding that. I feel like she was only using the group to boost her own solo career, because only a few months after, she was releasing her own songs.

Great clip! :D It explains a lot! I wondered about these things when I saw "Made in Sweden", since I thought it was so strange that they pretty much never mentioned the other members. So I'm glad you did this clip for all us confused people, haha. ;) Strange about the Anna-part though. :/ It looks like a misunderstanding, but who knows what it is...I just hope they didn't were mean on purpose.

@jaylagrad2013 Did you watch the video? Rosie even said herself that she wanted to pursue a solo career. She dropped out of the project not long before everything was due to start. As for Anna...yes I realize she messaged the poster of the video, but I think there's more going on than what Anna or Faye and Anais said.

It sucks that Rosie pulled out of the new Play at the last minute. Her solo stuff however sounds amazing (check out "the first time" on youtube, sounds hott!). I wonder what Anna is doing now. BTW, their version (the original version) of "Cinderella", Waaayyyy better than the Cheetah Girls.

O.o i feel bad for anna. she and rosie were always my faves, but now i extra like them because they're not part of this dinky reformation Play (as in, even dinkier than when janet replaced faye). personally i think that this new Play is a slap in the face to the old one.

@BernadettePetersx3 Not necessarily. BTR would have to ask PLAY permission to record Famous and call it there own. Its a copyright thing. Believe me I felt the same way when I heard Famous being sung by BTR. I wanted to shoot them all. I am still pissed about it.

I can't believe they stabbed Anna in the back like that. I love PLAY and I will always love PLAY, but the way they came about the reunion is terrible. They should have given Anna and Rosie a chance to say yes or no, not keep them away.

I fully agree with those who have mentioned that all GTA (Grand Theft Auto) and most titles from Rockstar Games are made for 18+ (adults) people. Parents who allow there children to play an adult video game are guilty of there own bad parenthood when they can't follow the age restrictions. When there child then learns unmoralic things and practise them it is again becouse the childs parents are not doing there job as Mom and/or Dad. The same goes to movies & music titles with age restrictions. READ THE LABEL. They are there for a big reason.

I really do hope GTA VI goes back to how GTA SA and GTA VC was. These newer GTA games just can't compare to older ones. Vice City you literally took over the whole city while in GTA SA it offer the most amount of content in a Rockstar open world. Is it really that hard to make a mix of the two?
