POLICE ACADEMY (1984) THE BLUE OYSTER "SALAD" BAR
POLICE ACADEMY (1984) The Blue Oyster "salad" Bar scene. Police Academy is a 1984 comedy film directed by Hugh Wilson, and starring Steve Guttenberg.
Just what are they dressed as, figured they're gay men, but are they
dressed as, kinda like cops, sort of, kinda wanna say bikers, but usually
they just have long beards and are big.
+McGannahan Skjellyfetti LOL ikr that's because his salad was tossed so much , it left his mind more blank than it already was. I loved this scene tho. It always made me laugh so hard. They should of allowed one of the gay guys from the Blue Oyster to join the academy. OMG i would of died.He could of been Proctor's gay lover.
Rolex GMT-Master II Tiffany & Co. Dial: Time Capsule Luxury Watch Review

A nice GMT Master 2 16710 without the Tiffany & Co signed dial, with full
box set and papers can be acquired for around $6,000. I'm just not sure how
many Rolex collectors are willing to pay close to $28,995.00 for a Tiffany
16710, which for GMT collectors, is creeping into the price range of the
holly grail of GMT's, and first in the series from the 1950's, the 6542 all
be it a rough 6542. Granted it's a very nice piece though. You might find
more interest at the $12,000-$14,000 range. Just not sure at that price for
a 16710. Now if it was a Tiffany & Co. signed 1675 or a 1680....
I think the next generation of GMT Master II will see the return of the (Super) Jubilee and the arrival of a steel Pepsi. That's my theory, and I'd put money on at least the latter outcome.Best,Tim
+watchuwantinc Your right, they are made to be worn and enjoyed. For me, the GMT just looks best on the jubilee. My 1675 and 16700 both have them. I wish Rolex would still offer the super jubilee and the Pepsi bezel on the newest 116710BLNR SS GMT. I still haven't really warmed up the thick case either. I'd say the 16710 was the last of the best GMT's so far.
Hi Walt, thanks! Even with the unique condition of the watch, I'm kinda hoping it goes to a collector who will wear it. If I were that guy, I might put it on a NATO just to preserve the supernatural condition of the NOS Jubilee (itself a rare factory option), but 24 years is long enough for this one to wait for wrist time.Best,Tim
+watchuwantinc Hello Tim. It is a very nice piece indeed and hard to find with the Tiffany & Co signed dial with all the documentation you have. Good luck with your sale.
+Walt Heisenberg Hi Walt, welcome to our channel! Indeed, this one sits toward the top of the heap in terms of 16710 pricing, but we stand by that assessment. This watch would be shockingly intact without any of the accessories or Tiffany link. It's rare to see a 20+ year-old Rolex that looks - bracelet and all - exactly like the day it arrived from Geneva. Even better, this watch ranks among the very last Tiffany Rolex models of any kind, and the partnership was dissolved around the time this GMT shipped. Another factor for us was the accessory set, which is as intact as the watch itself and highly distinctive of the Tiffany edition. For us, the final pricing decision hinged on one question: could we find another exactly like this if price weren't an object? Because of the unique combination of factors here, we believe we couldn't, and the watch amounts to a marketplace of one. Make no mistake; there's room to negotiate on this price, but we feel that this GMT is uncharted territory given the unique combination of factors involved. In particular, we stand by our no-questions-asked 7-day return policy so that even a skeptical customer could personally verify whether the watch is as factory-fresh as I'm describing. I would encourage anyone to return this watch if he isn't 100% convinced that it looks and wears like a brand-new 1991 Rolex out of a time machine. Strong words, but true in this case.Best,Tim
+Rick Eberhart Hi Rick, thank you for these kind words, and welcome to our channel! Watches with this kind of background don't visit too often, and it's even less common to find one so thoroughly documented. I had a ton of fun ad-libbing this one!Best,Tim
+sam Defranco Hi Sam, welcome to our channel! I felt the same thing when I encountered this GMT at our offices. The watch itself stuns, but when combined with the full accessories, it's like finding the proverbial "Spitfire in the Barn" that's been hidden since the Battle of Britain. I had a lot of fun with this review...Best,Tim

+Roelf van der Merwe Hi Roelf, my pleasure! Rolex is a powerful force in the watch world, and not even Tiffany's could impose its will forever (and you may remember our Rolex videos disappeared for a while - but I'm a bit tougher to pin down ;-). These Tiffany-signed pieces live on as special mementos of a prestigious and memorable partnership between luxury heavyweights. This particular GMT-Master is a breed apart since it hails from the very end of the line for the Tiffany Rolex dials. It's hard enough to find a Tiffany GMT 16710, but the incredible combination of condition and full accessories makes this piece unique even in my experience. Add the unusual - but factory correct and document-corroborated - Jubilee bracelet, and it's a true investment piece. I still hope the new owner actually wears the watch, but I can say that I've spoken to 20-year veteran watchmakers who have never encountered a Jubilee bracelet from this era with so little play in the links. There might be an argument for wearing the watch on a NATO and keeping the original bracelet/clasp in the box.Best,Tim
