Excellent Video!!! *** I would of liked to of known the type of Printer
used, and possible similar models. As well if you tittle your video more
descriptive such as ""Epson Print Head Cleaning, Easy Waste Tank Ink
removal" +Overall Basic Cleaning""
or something like that. this is the only video out of 20 I have seen that
covered a EASY "Waste Ink Tank" Cleaning. -Good Job!

+Studio9HDR the printer model would not be that important, what you would be looking for would be the physical structure of your printer. If your printer has the similar spike nozzles and the movable printhead, you would be able to perform this method.
My Epson XP-30 printer was printing unnecessarily stripy pictures and
documents in spite of my having repeatedly followed the standard 'head
cleaning' procedures, then I happened across this helpful vid. It only took
a few minutes to do and worked a treat, although I didn't have any
alcohol-based cleaning solvent, so I used gin (but not too much!).
+Nitin Arora Not so sure about your printer since we have not tested it with that model However, if it does has the similar structure of what the video shows namely, the nozzle spikes and the movable printhead then you should be able to perform it on your printer
Have been using CISS with Epson Workforce 545 for several months. Lately
colors are not good. Blue is pinkish. Have run maintenance several times.
Now it won't print at all. Get printer error. I changed the battery
thinking it was the problem. Still get printer error. Have rechecked
insertion and reset. Have done the on/off, unplugging, etc. Stumped.
It sounds like the sponges may have gotten cross contaminated. Please check to see if there is any ink inside the print head. Clean this with some rubbing alcohol and some napkins. You may need clean it so it does not persist. Print a nozzle check to see the status of your prints and perform a head cleaning if necessary. Do not do more than 3 head cleanings in the same hour as it could damage the printer's ink pad.
One of the Cleaning Print Heads videos. Too many want to sell their Magic
BS. My yellow is the problem [seems very common for Epson] Nothing I've
tried works, the print pattern is Blank for the yellow. I give up......for
now.
+SuperToBuy Thank you for the reply. I'm using refillable cartridges. After cleaning Spike etc. I draw ink from the cartridge bottom to remove any air...Next I'll try is alcohol with a syringe. I'll leave the syringe in place over the Spike overnight. Will post results whatever happens.
Make sure there is no ink clogging up the air filters on the CISS. If there is , you need to remove any ink clogging the air filters and print a nozzle check. You will see the quality improve. Make sure to prime the system, so no air bubbles are in the cartridges. You may also try cleaning the spikes near the contacts of the print head. Dried ink could give issues like this.
Thank you so much for this video! You helped save me so much money!!! This
works great for my Epson XP-310 when the generic black ink won't print! I
followed your video and did a nozzle check and head alignment check, then
my black ink finally comes out!
+SuperToBuy I did strip one down to the bone to find out what's in side, the ink pad at the far right of the machine has a tube coming from it, it discharges into amuch bigger tank in the base of the machine there is a fiber block in there to soakup the ink, the ink head was difficult to get out lots of hidden tangs, I think they aredesigned to be throw away, no one does repairs now because the cost of the labour is not viable, but someone told me when they used to repair them in housethey put the heads in an Ultrasonic cleaning tank, this used to work apparently, but he came to the conclusion the new ones are a disposable item, and they no longerrepair them.
+SuperToBuy Yes will try that, on the next clean the old one had to go in the binit had been standing for months, despite several attempts at cleaning and flushing I could not get rid of the lines, I have had a few of these over the years, it's always the same issue, pity they are not designed so you can replace the headson some makes impossible. on my first one I stuck to genuine ink it made no difference it still clogged I got nearly two years out of it though. The ink head issueit the main problem with them, every time.
I tried all this with mine, drained tank with needle, cleaned the ink inlets it's still notprinting black, I did a head check three cleans still not printing the black any ideas.

Unplugging Epson Print Heads video, Inkmizer.com, America

how do you take the print head out so you can take all the things out that
collect the ink when you run it through the clean cycle so you can clean
them too? Mine is seriously dirty... they need replaced or taken out and
cleaned.
I'm very tempted to buy this, but can this be applied to the printer head
drains that go to the dock (those that are directly below the cartridges)?
Or this is strictly for the dock?
what kind of liquid you used in that head cleaning?
General Computer Help : How to Clean Ink Jets on an Epson Stylus 440 Printer
Cleaning ink jets on an Epson Stylus 440 printer requires going to the "Printers and Faxes" menu, selecting the right printer, right-clicking for "Properties" and ...
OK, that didn't help at all. I already did that. My printer recently
started printing very pale & about 1/2 or less of the height of the fonts.
Now it only puts an occassional mark on the page. I put in a new black
cartridge and ran the cleaning function several times. I would like 2 clean
it somehow 2 restore it, but I haven't been able 2 find any instructions on
such a project. I don't know, maybe it's time 2 buy another printer. 2 bad,
it's been a really good printer. Maybe due 2 lack of use?
This video shows the page for an HP Deskjet printer, so it's useless anyway
even if it does run the cleaning cycle. Press and hold the cartridge change
button until the printheads come out. UNPLUG the printer, move the heads
out of the way. There are 2 sponge/foam pads, spray these with Windex with
Ammonia (DO NOT substitute) about 4 to 5 sprays. Plug in, run clean cycle
and test page. Repeat as needed. You will likely drain half the cartridges
doing this, but it will make it work again.
I have to disagree. I found the video to be not very filling on
information. There was no speech or written instructions. Yes, I can see
what is happening but there are no instructions. Also, please don't spam
other videos with this.
