Hi! I've changed the mode to CMYK but when I paste the image(cyan) on a new
file, the original image that has all the colors is the one showing up. Am
I missing something? pls help! Thank you!
2:34 If the halftone is usually low like 40-45, then why is the
example at 300 for halftone value? Now I'm confused. I'm not sure if
that example is very clear...
+Bill Alexander In my example, I used mesh count screen 300 mesh(per inch), usually used for solvent based CMYK ink so halftone result is 60 to get more detail with high value halftone. If halftone 40-45(usually for CMYK water based ink) that means the mesh used should between 155-200 mesh(per inch).
+Sachin Ghadge Yes. And you can try different angle for each channel too, you can search it on the internet to get more info. because every screen printer apply different angle to get better result depend on their way, but i usually use these anggle like this video. thanks...

T-Seps CMYK Color Separations for T-Shirts
Scott Fresener's T-Seps (formerly known as FastFilms) is the T-Shirt screen printing industry's best and most popular automated color separation plugin for ...
T-Seps is sold to a very small niche screen printing market. Without a
program like this, doing high end color separations can take a day or more
in Photoshop. And, because the market is small we are NOT like Adobe or
others. T-Seps is the big brother to FastFilms which sold over 9,000 copies
over 10 years and sold for $995. It is being used by printers around the
world to do high end work. Anyone who owns FastFilms or T-Seps will tell
you it changed their business and took them to a new level.
Yes, this is true. Photoshop is set for CMYK on paper and on T-Shirts it is
different. Due to the impurities in screen printing inks, T-Seps
compensates for this and cleans up all the colors. It also creates a much
heavier black plate than normal CMYK seps in Photoshop. And, it makes an
underbase and highlight. The last time I looked, Photoshop did not have an
"underbase and highlight white" button. T-Seps is simply a tool.
Good point. But, since "key" is not a color the word "black" is often if
not always referred to as one and the same. But, to say "k" does not stand
for "black" is interesting because it needs to stand for something - since
it is not a color and the only thing it can stand for is "black."
