cool vid.. thanx does anyone know why it is that i have the new beta2 version of itunes, however i don't have the wifi sync option. @OMADave I've restored my iPhone from iCloud too and it works fine. But it doesn't seem to want to sync with iTunes anymore. I.e. in the Apps section "sync apps" is not ticked, so if I tick it, it removes all apps from my iPhone. So what to do about that?

Once it was sync'ed via 'iTunes Sync' then yes. If the setup was to let the user 'manually' sync music etc then it would not work David

i downloaded this from the official page and when i try to open it i'm getting at error saying that one of the files semirestore uploads to the device is corrupted and i should redownload it. i've redownloaded, i've googled for solutions and can't find anything. whats going on?

Wat if u have done this right but after if u wanna actually restore using iTunes don't u get a error code cause like my old iPhone 3G wen I used custom fimrwares etc I had to use redsn0w n stuff to get it out of brick mode

What's the point of semi-restoring a 6.1.3 tethered jailbreak? You can just restore normally through iTunes... This is only useful if you are on 6.1.2 or lower because you can't restore to those versions anymore.

I didnt have any issues, apart from cydia not working. Use the search function on i-FunBox. Search the Term "Cydia". if you need anymore help then visit the sinful iphone forum :)

Rename icon names [ex: icon@2x~iphone.png] in iFile so the Phone icon will appear instead of FaceTime icon, and then simple change the CFBundleDisplayName to "Phone"

it is.. just delete everything of cydia with iFunbox and go to sauriks repo and download cydia 1.1.8 and put it in cydia auto install (on ifunbox) then reboot.

Whats wrong with using ifaith v1.5.8 it does a great job of restoring iphone 4 only but I suppose if your method works for the latest devices well thats great

What about system files that I had played around with? (e.g. I deleted some springboard.app files in iFile) Will it restore all the files to the stock form?

No. It definitely worked and I was on IOS 8 but the thing was that I didn't save the backup file from when I was originally on IOS 8 and when you restore a backup you have to be on the same firmware as you were on when you backed up.

@dfreez09 beleave me, ive left it over 2 nights and have restored many times, and most times it deletes half of my fucking apps saying "unable to install." so i end up with 3 shite apps out of 120 apps tht work...damn.

Whenever I try to restore from a backup it freezes up once it's done on the apple logo. I've upgraded to ios 7 three times today and it just can't seem to restore. Any ideas on how I can get a restore to work? Great vid by the way!

You can actually downgrade to iOS 6.1.3. all you have to do is enter DFU mode on your phone and then do a manual restore to a 6.1.3 IPSW kind of the same way you did to upgrade.

Not true, perhaps they can detect that you are not an actual developer. I am told anyone who installs the beta can get updates to iOS7 without any issues.
