Odd the in-dash display is missing the analog gas & temp gauge like the other Model Jettas have. Is the highly polished trim a fingerprint magnet?

Yep, the high gloss plastic is a fingerprint magnet, but, it isn't on any of the surfaces you need to touch on a daily basis, so it shouldn't be too bad.  Apparently the SEL models have the real dot-matrix pixel display like the Passat etc, but still no temp gauge!

Oh goodness!!! THANK YOU!!!! I thought it didnt have one either!!! Ive had my car a little over a year now and I looked it up and it told me Bluetooth was how to hook it up. BUt Found it Now!!!! Hahaha!! Dee TA Dee!!! On my way to the store to store to get a cord!!!! lol THANKS AGAIN GUY!!!!

Did you purchase a 3.5mm to RCA? Or 3.5mm to 3.5mm? Also, could you explain the wiring setup from the satellite audio and ground cable to the 3.5mm audio cable? Thanks

Has anyone done this but connected behind the dash? kinda silly to have the long round trip tot he trunk when the cable you are splicing into is going back to the dash.

Good point. There is one that integrates directly and replaces the sat system. And has Bluetooth and aux. But it is 200. Vs 20 in wire. I suppose there is probably an in between option. Be good to get it so hands free is working well.

Hi Chris! It might also be worth looking into putting a Bluetooth A2DP adapter in the trunk. The only downside is latency (~1sec) and a very slight degradation in audio quality, but hey... wireless is nice!
