Uniden Personal Wireless Surveillance System (Review)
This is a review of the Uniden personal wireless Surveillance System. Overall a great system. Well worth the price if you can use it to keep a thief at bay.
Yes it does connect to the computer. One of the reasons I'm thinking of
buying. I used to have the UDW10055 unit which are sold at Wal*mart and
there always used to be driver problems between the receiver and computer.
One other thing noted in the video is it seems these use the same cameras
as the UDW10055 as they have sensitivity issues to light. I had one of the
cameras installed on a pole out back and during the day everything used to
white out. The camera's night vision was better than it's day vision. This
is one fix I wish Uniden would make.
1HandTechReviews: If operates on same frequency mode of operation is
irrelevant, it'll have potential to cause interference. Result on WiFi
speed will be similar to if signal was weaker. It may be possible to make
some improvement to WiFi by changing the operating channel. However, I
would guess that, being video, it will occupy a relatively high bandwidth
so any improvement will be limited. I think what I might try is using
reflectors to beam the signal from the cameras to the receiver.
i have the uds655 that i got at BJ's as an upgrade to what i had. Its $250
for unit and two cameras. I do outside surveillance cus i live in the city.
The system is an upgrade and works great. I will add two more cameras for
other views as the unit handles 4. it works you can mask busy street for
sidewalk activity which is what i want. It has motion activation and record
to an SD that you can view on a pc. There is wifi and internet capability
but i have not used/tested those features.
Would like to see more about computer connection. Do you know if it will
only "record" off of one camera at a time? I tried to set it up so that
both computers would record when they sensed motion; however, only one of
them seems to record. Your presentation was excellent for those who needed
more information on the basic use of the system. Thanks!
Thanks for the review. Awaiting your response to last question regarding TV
and remote access. I've been thinking about getting a video surveillance
system for some time and this helps me narrow down the field. WiFi
interference would be a deal breaker for me though.
We have a two camera system and I can't figure out how to get both cameras
to show on the same screen because of has no signal unless we walk around
with the screen. One camera over our driveway and yard and one viewing our
front door. I need help on that.
Night vision is automatic on any camera equipped with this feature. You can
tell the camera is in night vision mode if you look directly at the front
of the camera after dark and see a bunch of little red lights around the
lens.
The dilemna that I see is that the big cameras are best for outdoors but
they have to be plugged in. What is the solution if there is no outlet on
your front porch or rear deck where you mount these cams?
I think that how noises neighbors Snoops/Spy on whoever they want -
because for quite of time I had a feeling someone can watch me inside my
apartment in this building!
@smsblj The receiver is a DVR itself. It has a 500GB capacity to the best
of my knowledge. Also, you can record with your PC so those are 2 very good
options.
I purchased the G2720 awhile ago, dont know why they didnt include the
option to be able to view it on a TV screen aswell like this older version,
they kinda went forwards with some features but backwards on other good
features the older version already had
I think that how noises neighbors Snoops/Spy (like the ex-husband for
example) on whoever they want - because for quite of time I had a feeling
someone can watch me inside my apartment in this building!

those are those mini seizure knockouts, its so scary to do that to someone
you feel like you killed them. when i did that to somebody with a rnc i
didnt jump up and cheer i made sure he was ok, when stout saw he was out
like that he should have went to his side and helped him wtf..
I am not sure the negativity of the comments. This is an incredible
knockout. Even Dana White at the time it was the most devastating ko in UFC
history. Barboza ko was incredible also. Maybe a little flashier but both
guys were equally knocked out!
Lol. I find it funny, I didn't say or do anything to try and act "cool". It
just shows the lack of intelligence you have. Enough said, I don't really
waste time on clowns.
it caught him RIGHT on the jaw below the ear, that it "the button" we hear
so much about, and it did have a bit of power the angle just doesn't do it
justice.
WTF. The punch had no power behind it and that Yves guy goes out cold like
he got hit by a Mike Tyson sledgehammer or something. UFC guys can't take a
punch.
