@StrengthFromAbove83 We have not yet fully characterized the pressure rating. We are currently recommending that you do not exceed 6.6 feet depth. However I have regularly taken mine below 12 feet free-diving. The acoustic vents are not rated for exposure below 15 feet and may weep at greater pressures. Without an iPhone inside to support the case it failed in test at 60 feet. With an iPhone to prevent the case deforming it may survive short deeper excursions. It is not a deep dive case.

@ LifeProofCases, I have 2 questions. 1.) Last weekend i pre-ordered my Lifeproof case for my Iphone 4. Because i want to use it on my vacation this summer, i would really like to know, if you have any idea on how long it could take before i can buy and get it. I'm from the Netherlands. 2.) On my Iphone i got an app called Quicksnap. It makes photos with the volume buttons. Does it also work underwater? Are there more apps like this? For video? I hope you can help me out :) Thanks!

I just got mine yesterday, and it's amazing! Everyone in my office keeps asking me to drop it in the sink again - lol! The back is easily scratched, so that's the downside. Hopefully they will offer an updated version that is scratch-resistant, but otherwise, this case is awesome!

@normalpsychology check 'em out. Lifeproof iPhone cases. I don't think they'd put so much into making an $80 case if they were going to make false claims. They'd QUICKLY go out of business. With as much technology as there is today, why CAN'T there be a Lifeproof iPhone?

@meganiek We expect to begin shipping near the end of this month. That app should definitely work under water. We'll have to try it out and also look into more apps like this. There are some that take photos on a timed basis. Thanks!

@regina102100 I don't think you'll get very good reception underwater;) You can take videos though! The new ios5 will allow you to take pictures underwater with the volume buttons as well!

My lifeproof box looks like it has gotten moisture in it; when I soaked the case before using it it did not show any signs of water.
