There is no such thing as bullet proof glass. What you have there is a sheet of acrylic. (That means plastic, not glass) Also, there is no such thing as bullet proof acrylic. That piece was probably marketed for 10 times the price as bullet resistant acrylic. You really should learn about what you pretend to teach others. Otherwise you reveal nothing but your laziness to learn your own job as well as stupidity for teaching what you do not know to others.

+invertedlow We watch it for fun! However if you do a teaching video on BR Glass or Acrylic I'll watch it.

no penetration!

hell yeah i was right

No. ETA: I agree a FMJ or steel core bullet wouls pass through.
https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-XdUIqdMkCWA/AAAAAAAAAAI/AAAAAAAAAAA/4252rscbv5M/photo.jpg?sz=64
Which is why I was suggesting what I was. Whatever the bullet weight would come out to when it is as long as it can be but still within O.A.L. spec would stand a good chance at passing though. A, harder bullet material, and B lighter weight = higher MV

+TurboMitsubishi yes that's entirely possible, but a copper bullet even at 35gr is going to be longer. The .22 TCM bullet is .460" long. When seated to the OAL needed, you have the bullet sitting on top of the powder charge. So again you'll be able to load anything you want .224" in a .22 TCM, but you're going to lose velocity which is needed for penetration of barriers like this.

Be that as it may, if someone were to pull the bullet and load a home made projectile turned on a lathe to the same diameter and similar weight...Say a solid copper 30-35gr bullet...

+TurboMitsubishi But Armscor only makes a 40gr JSP load because of OAL and case capacity.

I would love to see this one revisited with some FMJ or copper solids! I'm guessing the "glass" might as well be hot butter at that point.

+Buffman Right, I understand that, i'm a handloader myself but I don't know what is currently available for the TCM components wise. I highly doubt anyone has copper solids commercially available but that would be slick. A guy with a lathe could do the deed. Turn to diameter and cut the ogive into some barstock and part off at length. Like you said, needs a very short bullet. 9x25mm Dillon is the same way, designed for 100-115gr 9mm bullets and even though there is heavier, you would get diminishing returns chasing that idea. Like you said, velocity is everything in punching holes in things that were designed to resist having holes put in them. All of those bottleneck pistol rounds are that way. I'm surprised that there is little on the market for broader choices in the .22TCM by now.

+mytmousemalibu The .22 TCM round is designed around 1 specific bullet, the 40gr JSP that armscor offers. It's short because it's needed to keep OAL down and case capacity up. Longer bullets will need to be seated deeper, and you'll lose charge capacity, resulting in a slower bullet. Velocity is needed for hard barrier penetration :D

Hello I wanted to wish you and your Family all a great Christmas.. I am not criticizing any of your video they are all great its just a comment on something.. It seams your Videos are getting short. Seams you get out and do what the video is based on and you do it and you close it up. Video before you talked more on what you was going to do on your video. Well i hope you understand on what i was saying. As i said i love all the video's you do.And I wasn't criticizing you in no way.

+gapster46 Every time. There is only so much you can say about a knife that you deliberately beat against a rock for the sole intention of breaking and destroying it. I can't watch that. Not when I can basically watch a year's worth of 22Plinksters videos in the time it takes Nut to get to his size and weight constraints and considerations for a damned flashlight in a rule without law situation. The world has gone dark. What do you need in a flashlight? Trick question. You need a headlamp with red light capabilities because light gives away your position and the only time you are going to use it you are going to need both your hands. Done! Next video...He once baked lemon bars in a solar oven. The video was edited. The video took the same amount of time as it would take to bake the lemon bars. He could have shown himself baking lemon bars in real time. Fuck! Now I want some lemon bars.

+22plinkster - Short and to the point is best. I tend to fall asleep when watching nuttn’s videos. They are just too long sometimes... Sometimes?

+Wayne BlueIf you want longer videos of people talking, check out Hickok45. He'll stretch 20 shots into 20 minutes of continuous stream of consciousness. But, I am sure that option is known to you. I'm a meat and potatoes guy when it comes to firearms reviews and always find that I spend as much time searching through long-winded videos as I do watching them. 22Plinkster definitely takes the cake on getting to the point.

For the past 4 years, my average video is about 2 minutes and 45 seconds long. This video was longer than usual. I like to keep them short, and to the point. I hate to hear myself talk on camera when I do my editing. That's why the videos are so short.....
