I understand nationalism ...but u are one of the above 30% that have had it good .. If democracy was so good no one wold come to the street would they? Im amazed at the audacity at which the Govt controls the Chinese like u are nothing. And quit justifying ur Regime...have u herd of the Stockholm syndrome? LOVE your channel! BUT, you are dead wrong on this. Please provide evidence and within context. The US response has been tepid. The protests have been from a wide scope of Ukrainian society. This is not an outside meddling but a grassroots hate for a government that has turned into a dictatorship. I am not saying that bigger geopolitical players aren't supportive but they have been less than effective in this revolution.

I have always sympathized with Dennis Trainor's peace loving and criticism of the status quo and of the powerful, but this really just sounds like Putin propaganda. Seriously, even if the CIA is meddling and trying to influence the Ukraine, that doesn't change that there is a government backed and influenced by Putin killing its own people and that the whole thing started with Russian meddling. Dennis Trainor is making the same mistake so many left leaning people made 100 years ago when their justified gripes with western capitalism and colonialism and imperialism drove them into cheering for even worse monsters like Stalin.

I don't have a problem with people living their own lifestyles. I only have a problem with it being legal to murder innocent unborn babies. Unless you meant when I typed somewhere that when people know they don't want a baby before having sex they'll do it without protection, then want to shout it's my right to kill my baby. That is the only time I may touch on a person's lifestyle. I just don't get why it's so hard to practice safe sex. Isn't it cheaper to buy a condom than pay for an abortion?

I'm a Taiwanese. Just to be exact, under the legal framework of ROC, the Republic of China (ROC) controls a territory known as "Free Territory of ROC" (also called "Taiwan region"), which includes Taiwan, Penghu, Kinmen and Matsu island. There are actually two provinces under this free territory controlled by ROC, which are Taiwan province (island of Taiwan and Penghu 98%) and Fujian Province (Kinmen and Matsu island 2%). ROC also lay claims to mainland China, Hainan Island and Hongkong as its territory (known as "lost territory"), which is controlled now by PRC (by communist). Although PRC tries to claim Taiwan region as its province, it has never ruled Taiwan before, neither does it have any legal rights over Taiwan. ROC ruled Taiwan from 1945 till now, under democratically elected government, and under Cairo Declaration and Taipei Treaty, Taiwan was returned to ROC from Japan. ROC ruled mainland China from 1911 till 1949 and has implemented a progressive development towards democracy established by Dr. Sun Yat Sen, the founder of ROC (namely military unification of 1928, political teaching of democracy from 1928-1945, constitutional democracy phase 1946 onwards ). The first election held in mainland China was in 1911, and last few elections in 1946,1947 and 1948. During World War II, the ROC Military fought against the Japanese, while the Chinese communists did not fight much against the Japanese, and took advantage of the Sino-Japanese war to expand their forces from 70,000 to 1.2 million. Although ROC Forces emerge victorious after WWII, the threat from Chinese communists and eventual defeat in Chinese civil war led ROC to retreat to Taiwan in 1949. Technically, ROC is the only legitimate China. It has ruled both mainland China and Taiwan before, while PRC has not ruled Taiwan before. That gives ROC the legitimate right to rule both mainland China and Taiwan. Secondly, ROC Forces did 95% of fighting to defend China and Chinese people against Japanese invasion during WWII and emerge victorious. That leads to Taiwan being returned to ROC, and Japanese instrument of surrender to ROC and ROC held a permanent seat to "China" in the United nations from 1945 till 1975. It also participated in the universal declaration of human rights. The Chinese communists never did much of the fighting. Their main enemy was not the Japanese but ROC forces. Thirdly, ROC was well on its way towards freedom and democracy in Chinese mainland in 1946 with the promulgation towards Constitutional Democracy and ROC Constitution. National Elections were held from 1946 till 1948 throughout whole of China, that gives ROC legitimate right to China. Although Martial Law was imposed in Taiwan from 1948-1987 following a relocation of ROC government to Taiwan, regional elections were still held. Eventually, in 1987, martial law was uplifted and democratic reform (ROC democracy was restored and developed) was implemented. Today, ROC is a free liberal multi-party democracy. Its government was democratically elected. Fourthly, ROC remains true ally with the West. This not only dated from the time of World War II Ally with US and Britain, but also because it has implemented freedom and democracy. ROC's political ideology is based on Dr. Sun Yat Sen's 3 Principles of People (Nationalism, Civic-Socialism and Democracy) , which is to build China into a strong prosperous Nation using Western Democracy. Today, ROC has a free and liberal press and media, good human rights record, free elections and is recognized as a true democracy in the Chinese-speaking world. And if you notice PRC, it is still a one-party communist dictatorship (totalitarian state) that has never implemented any form of democracy since 1949, much even destroy democracy that was built in mainland China before 1949. Media and Internet remains tightly controlled, and there was no free speech and press in PRC. There was constant human rights abuse ranging from Great Leap Forward famine, Cultural revolution disaster, Tiananmen Massacre of 1989, Persecution against democracy activists and human rights lawyer, persecution of against Falungong.. Fifthly, ROC represents and preserves the best of authentic Chinese Culture. Most of the great modern Chinese literati, scholars, thinkers, historians, writers, poets of the 20th century came from ROC times when ROC was in mainland China before 1949. After 1949, ROC relocated to Taiwan, and Taiwan emerges as a new Chinese culture center to bulwark against communist China. Today, in ROC Taiwan, traditional Chinese character was still used. Confucianism permeated throughout Taiwan, and various Chinese religion such as Taoism and Buddhism were vibrant in Taiwan, partly because of the practice of freedom of religion. At that same time, ROC Chinese literature continues to prosper under freedom of thoughts, free speech and was critical to further develop Chinese culture. Comparatively, PRC destroyed Chinese culture during Chinese cultural revolution. It also implemented a butchered form of Chinese writing (simplified character) that destroyed the logical meaning and culture of Chinese character. Chinese religions such as Taoism and Buddhism were nearly destroyed during cultural revolution. Confucianism was also destroyed during cultural revolution. Although Chinese religions and culture were revived after 1980s in mainland China, they remained tightly controlled by the Chinese communist, and often corruption by Chinese communists often causes these religion to deviate from its real purpose. Needless to say, there was no freedom of religion in PRC. In addition, there was no freedom of thoughts and press, leading to literature being suppressed in PRC. With severe corruption within Chinese communists, massive social unrests due to corruption, economic collapse due to housing bubble and stock crash, it would be a matter of time before Chinese communist regime will collapse. In short, it has lost its legitimacy and lost its support from mainland Chinese. With more mainland Chinese traveling abroad and to Taiwan, many have come to recognize that ROC is the true China and that their true motherland is the Republic of China. Many are abandoning PRC and embracing ROC. They have also embraced freedom and democracy. In short, Republic of China is True Democratic China. It would be envisioned that should Chinese communist regime collapses, mainland China will be returned to ROC, with the support from many mainland Chinese. Freedom and Democracy will be implemented across whole of China, and China will become truly democratic. The West will recognize ROC as the true China, welcoming its return to United Nation. Let us all hope for that day.
