Good job, as usual, Aaron ... except that you didn't drop-test the cases. I've enjoyed my black-rim-and-black-wood Traveler case with "McKay" and a shamrock laser-engraved in it for a year. I'd recommend a customized Carved Traveler case to anyone whose phone would fit. I revisit Carved.com frequently to try to get one of the unique, limited-production Satellite-series Traveler cases. They're not run-of-the-mill and thus ready-to-engrave cases but rather slices of wood like the Solid Wood and Live Edge (wood-and-plastic) cases that are bonded into the Traveler frames. So they have the form and function (grip-providing and cushioning) of a Traveler case WITH the unique wood look of those others. And they're cheaper than Live Edge (US $149) and Solid Wood (US $99). I hope to buy a newly-made and newly-photographed one some day after it's newly-posted on Carved.com. I wish that Carved would send to you more samples. Incidentally, a Carved Slim case is too slim for an iPhone 6S.

@AngelLeppard Like I said, there is a little. Although that is to be expected with every nice aluminum case. As long as you have a consistent 3+ bar service wherever you are located, you will most likely only drop down one bar which doesnt really mean anything, but should still be noted.

That's a cool company, like the uniqueness of some cases that are one of a kind. I also agree with you they should have worked something better to clip the two-part case together. I personally don't like bulky cases, but could make an exception if they are that cool. Would love to win one.

That's a nice and very unique case. It's possible to improve the design by having a hidden locking mechanism. The price is very high compared to other machined and lasered iPhone wood cases. It's not technically carved because that implies hand woodwork when in fact this was machined.

Carved is an awesome company! They make some other cases that are great as well, but your right about the sliding that kinda sucks because it can slide off when you take your phone out of your pocket :/

Wouldn't mind the case as a gift for my mother :) she has the 6 and I have the 6 plus so I couldn't use it, her gold colored iPhone is starting to become all kinds of scratched up so this would help.

+iTurtle97 In video games its great but it looks kind of awkward when filming real world things. My mom would always watch soap operas and I couldn't stand watching them because they were all filmed in 60 fps.
