There's a subtle but insanely important (for me) difference between these cases. It's mentioned that the dock connector is the same. Alignment-wise, that's correct, but if you pause the video at 1:25, you'll see that Apple realized that not everybody is going to use the new, slimmer 30-pin cable. There's a huge cutout at the dock connector now that appears like it will support many more third-party and even older Apple iPhone/iPod cables. Hooray!

@Abuzete I'm sorry. I didn't mean to be rude. Also, when you buy cases or any 3rd party Apple products for that matter, you should check the back of the box for compatibility with your Apple product. Apple 3rd party manufacturers are usually pretty good about indicating compatibility with Apple's products.

Does the new bumper have rubber on the front and back? My black one does that I bought day one with my iPhone 4 but I bought a white and a blue one a few months ago and the front and back are more of a slick plastic. Can you please confirm either way. Thanks!

Im actually glad you did this I am future Verizon Iphone customer and I havent heard any difference in size specs for the verizon Iphone but I am hoping If and when I do get a case for my Verizon Iphone that it will work just as fine if it was an Att Iphone

Apple doesn't differentiate between AT&T and Verizon on the packaging. I asked an Apple associate to confirm I was indeed holding the reworked bumper, and he confirmed yes. I have everything I need for my VZW iPhone now, except the phone itself!

HI. I saw some other movies about universal bumper case on Youtube. They said that hole for 30pin con. are also changed. If you could, will you try on the 3rd parties' 30pin con. to see whether it fits or not. Thanks.

they need to make the hole wider and now its just the vibrate button thats different i thought it was all of the buttons. this means for case companies = cheaper

Is the rubber around the hard plastic made of a different matierial in the new bumper? I just picked up a new orange one and it doesn't feel as grippy.

@markbyrn That's the way the way the two bumpers were being held. At the end of the video you can see that the buttons are lined up in the same place.

wasn't the bumper mainly for at&ts death grip problem? is it worth getting a bumper for the verizon iphone or should i just find a different case?

I think there is nothing to see here. The button placement has moved on the Veriphone, the buttons on the case are in the same spot.
