+Mike Hunt Depending on the state you live in it could be illegal.  In Illinois it is illegal to drive in the left lane for more than a mile unless you are passing someone.

+Andrew Stanford As long as you're not holding up anyone behind you, often times cruising in the left lane is the way to go. The right lane tends to put more wear & tear on your vehicle cause of all the truck traffic and such. I don't see anyone in this video having to pass Barbie on the right.

I have taken this route several times, from St Louis to Denver. Much more to see in Missouri than in Kansas and eastern Colorado where it is so flat and treeless.

With exception to capacity, your cell phone or iPod touch could certainly do the trick! All you need is a decent mount and, just for good measure, the adapter so it doesn't die! That's exactly how I've shot my own footage so far these past two years!
