thank s alot man...its helps me even nowadays too...before one year iphone 5...before two days i realized that both were speakers and both of them left one is not working i worried about that...thankgod it was microphone..i realized this mystery after showing this video..thanks a lot.,,,,,,,,,,

iPhone 5S both at bottom are speakers I noticed but I'm wondering where the 2 microphones are? I know one is at top had a problem screen protector was over mic couldn't hear videos I made. But where is 2nd mic on iPhone 5S anyone know Thank you

Actually, the ones at the bottom are the mic you use for talking and the top and back reduce the background noise. During recording of video, I think it uses just the back mic.. Not sure though lol

I have the same problem, Snapchat works for me but it's always like muffled and stuff and there is no plastic cover on my iPhone 5c

On the back of the iPhone there should be a plastic protector if you peel that of it should work fine, the reason it was not working was because the mic is the next to the rear camera and was covered.

Mấy cái lumia bạn kẹp nguồn muốn nó lên thì ban đầu kẹp ở 3.7v khi máy rung lên bạn tăng v lên từ từ nó mới lên nguồn , mà máy bị treo bạn có reset hay chạy pm chưa mà đục ic

Good test. I believe the result is that, as close as you where, the phones compressor won't allow for a good sound. But frankly that close and your own ears won't get that good a sound either lol. Enjoy the music :)

I had to replace my connector/headphone jack/mic because my bottom microphone suddenly stop working after I tried to replace a battery one day. I followed your instructions properly. I thought that replacement of connector/headphone jack/mic would help, but unfortunately, it wouldn't, bottom mic is still not working. Don't you know what problem could happen? I searched on google, so the users have the same issue and they also don't find any solution... I hope you can help me. Thank you

Difficult to say but maybe something near the battery terminal was damaged during the first repair. If you have a microscope I would start by removing the logic board and inspecting all of the components in that area. If you accidentally knocked a chip off the board that might could cause this kind of problem.

Were you sure to transfer the rubber piece from the old mic and route it inside of the plastic piece at the bottom? Without that the sound cannot get to it.
