@galacticaphantome you are right, They should not have release it at the first place, and they made it a product to consumers. It can be say, did not really work at all. It consumes a lot power, lags in a amazing degree. the multi-tasking system just unfinished. like android always did, I always wonder why android allow us see recent app but not a solution to shut them down. And it took them three years to come up with the ICS task manager. Apple and others at least dont use us as test subjects

You are mostly right about all, but the fact Google release this to developers are understandable, but they actually made it available to the public and the consumers. The fact they gave a unfinished product is not right, regardless if is a necessary improve over the time. Vista is horrible when come to old software etc, but it does work on its own, and it works perfectly, but 3.0 android, it lags, it lack of smoothness, full of bugs. As the OS or a product it fails and unnecessary at all.

A valid argument, but the main problem with this view is the fact that it screws over the customers who purchased those products. Honeycomb was terrible. Was it necessary? Maybe, but the users who payed good money for these tablets suffered, and that's completely unfair. I don't like it when software developers release products that aren't ready for human consumption for the sake of competition. It shows a lack of respect towards customers. We should demand better.

@shdxc LOL. Android has lots great games.. The only thing I'm missing from iOS is infinity Blade and temple run(will be made available in the android market this month), Gameloft games, EA games, facebook games, glu mobile, polarbit, gamevil, rovio, silver tree media, and a hundred more premium game developers are all dedicated and developing for Android... It is wp7 that doesn't have apps. well, they do have apps but most are crappy expensive, useless apps.

Good, but you're analysis of "fragments" was incorrect. They are not part of the same view at all, at least on a smartphone, but sometimes even different activities. I've never mistakenly seen this viewpoint, but I've heard it's common. It's certainly not a good comment to spread to all the Android newbie programmers watching this.

@1arithehun No, I'm sure tablets will be upgradable to ICS. I don't want people to get the impression that I didn't think tablets weren't getting ICS. My issue is the fact that they released Honeycomb, when they should really have just never released it in the first place for consumers. It screws those who bought a tablet.

I can say Ice Cream Sandwich runs so much better on the transformer prime. it is like having a totally new tablet when compared to honeycomb. Everything is smooth apps run better. It still has a few glitches here and there to work out, but it is a massive improvement.

Excellent content knowledge, fluent speaker, with excellent presense; felt like he was talkeing to me (not reading off the queue screen). This was a complecated topic with really three areas of info, but he weaved it nicely together. Rock on!

Another thing Microsoft has over Google is gaming systems, I know lots that bought windows phones because of the Xbox. But Chromebooks need to stay the way they are and they need too make another type of laptop with an android interface.

@holandpark Because they were the first, Google needed to rush and get this OS out...also iOS can run iPad and iPhone apps in one package BUT they don't have such an integrated developer experience like Android and the fragment-UI has...

@joelevi Which is a great idea since Android needs to work on any screen resolution. iOS instead can not just switch the resolution (see 480x320 -> 960x640 switch). So Google needs the fragmented UI and scaleability of the UI itself...

Ive used chrome book a few times, and i know a lot of other people here have been as well, and they know that an android phone can do a lot more... im pretty sure google is going to axe chrome books, and maybe re-port x86,x64 android.

It was broad, but what you said about Windows Vista was correct. I was one of the guys who got a new computer in January 2008 and i worked great! Whenever I heard someone trash it i would try and explain that to them.

@shdxc don't be ignorant. Since the release of froyo, an option to totally shut down an app is already available. I hate trolls who doesn't know what they are saying. at least do some research before trolling.

+martinf74 I understand what your saying but still hard, after seeing Tom do such a marvelous job in the role for all those years, to have to say goodbye to him at the end of Logopolis. For some reason his Doctors passing just made me sadder even though I respect all the actors who have played the role. At the same time it allowed Tom to tackle some other great roles, like Sherlock Holmes and the professor in Educating Ritz, on stage, T.V. and film. Looking forward to him in voicing a new character in the Star Wars franchise. I will always miss his Doctor though. Am I the only one who feels like that sometimes? Thanks for understanding and God bless.

I agree with your comments but Tom had did his fair service to the show by completing seven seasons. They will never be another actor that will stay in the role as long as Tom.

I loved and hated this season. Loved it because the show still had some very good episodes and had not become a shell of itself like it would in the 80's. Hated it because we had to say goodbye to the most loved and iconic Doctor of them all....Tom Baker. Tom always did a brilliant job with the character of the Doctor no matter how brilliant or not the script was. In all 7 seasons as the Doctor he always had several very good to excellent story's. Tom also came up with several of the most quoted lines in Doctor Who history thanks to his quick wit and ad libbing skills. True legend!
