Rootwiki.com Then click forums at the top. Then under the Motorola section
find droid x. Then under development click on Gummy ROM. Read about it,
make sure your phone meets requirements, and flash away. I don't have this
phone anymore. It was my girlfriends so I'm not sure what all is in the ROM
now. I know the only bug was MMS. But it is fixed now
Not so sure.... It is my girlfriends and I sold it. It wasn't activated but
my brother now has it.....he hasn't called with any issues. It was smooth
as butter messing around with it=)
I like your reviews, don't take this the wrong way, you should really cut
back on the intro, you did like 5 minutes of just intro, also you should
stop talking about what you're going to do and just do it, that will really
save a lot of time. Thanks.
854x480 on the droid x. it looked in your video that you could make out the
picture details like the mountain and all the people in the background far
better on the droid x. like you said it's hard to tell over video though .
If you are going to do a bunch of videos you should take a public speaking
class and learn how to get rid of filler words; "uh, uhm, like" which you
use about 30 billion times in this video.
@Shatonmedeek My bad, I own a vibrant, AS it turns out the gpu on the
vibrant is currently second to none. What lag fix update... My main phone
is a vibrant.
i gotz the vibrant and it beat the droid,droid2,and i think that it ties
wit the driod incredible and droid x but im wit vibrant all the way screw
htc!!!!!

Go onto xda forums and look for the LG revolution thread for Broken Out
ROM. There's plenty of reading you need to do. It's using the Sony Experia
Ion's UI and its so much faster it puts LG's UI to shame. No matter what
android phone I get, I'm gonna root it. Even if it's just a debloated stock
ROM, its better than what Verizon gives us. Next phone is definetly gonna
be a Samsung, there are so many ROMs available for it.
There's 1 thing I don't fully understand with your reviews or critique. Why
do you test system keyboards and widgets when people customize those things
anyway? The same goes with the battery percentage indicator since there's
an app for that. There are also launchers people can install to have more
home screens, different app drawers, etc.
The nexus line definitely has its good points. I just can't see myself
buying an LG phone regardless. I've had LG for years and this failure that
I got from them (revolution). Fortunately my upgrade is 2 months away. I
never been so anxious to upgrade my phone.Still, I can't see myself using a
nexus since it does not have expandable memory.
IF U GO TO PHONE RATED.COM IT SAYS THAT THE DROID RAZR IS WATER PROOF DUST
PROOF DROP PROOF IT HAS A NEW TYPE OF SCREEN THE GLASS THEY USE IS CALLED
GORILA GLASS IT HAS A KEVALAR BACKING IT AS IS A GREAT PHONE AND U DONT
HAVE TO REPLACE THEM ALL THE TIME LIKE AN IOS DEVICE U CAN DROP IT AND THE
PHONE WILL BE FINE
Quad core isn't necessary until apps are designed around them. RAZR HD is
quality built and purest Google experience next to nexus. That's why I
brought it today instead of s3 or waiting for log nexus or note 2. I'll get
quad next yeAr probably with Motorola after playing with the hd
I could care less for the quad core cpu and the 13 mp camera. LG uses
better CPU's to compensate for their poorly optimized software. The Razr HD
offers a more optimized/stable software, better call quality/signal, and
can last a day with moderate use! Real world usage > benchmarks .
No i am not. Touchwiz Nature UX and Sense 4+ are more stable than the
Optimus UI. Even tho the S4 Pro is running inside the Optimus G, there are
still kinks in the software that need to be worked out. The phone runs well
dont get me wrong.
Razr HD, hands down, most just hate on the razr due to being very
biased, people tend to use personal preference instead of whats the better
of the two.............now that google owns moto ,in a year everyone will
want a moto!
i actually like the plastic lol doesn't get too hot or cold like metal
does, allows for a removable battery and plastic is actually really
durable. It only gets a bad rep because we use it so much and take it for
granted.
both are great, but I'm getting the nexus 4 with is a LG and this phone
looks sexy! Sorry down front the lcd 2 + ips hd is better in every way. I
have the verizon galaxy nexus and the screen is nice, it's not a ips.
When I was running stock, it lagged a lot. If there wasn't a ROM for this
phone, I'm not sure I would be able to use this phone at all. I get a
random lag once in a while, but it goes away within several seconds.
I have had HTC, motor, Sammy and Motorola call quality, build and
performance has always been better when tested side by side. And now
motorola and Google together. No brainer. Closes to nexus.
This dude doesn't like the RAZR HD its obvious but just bought the HD just
to try it coming from Samsung its a good as phone nice all around Aaron we
no its not quad core
"Allot of att stuff out of the gate here" BLOAAAT ware.... First thing I do
when I set up Android phones for my clients, I use titanium pro to remove
all AT&T apps.
One thing I noticed on every device running s4 processors they load more
when watching videos compared to the old to omap processor when it starts
no more buffering
why do samsung dont go with this kind of quality finish of their phone ..
their phone always looks like a plastic slab, compare to this 2 flagship
phones.
And Samsung with touchwiz everywhere looks like older os. S voice doesn't
work well and really isn't needed with Google voice services, Google now
etc.
I'm currently choosing between these two phones but can't decide! Each
phone will cost me $200. Verizon offers unlimited text/talk/data for
$90/month, and T-Mobile offers the same for $100/month. However, T-Mobile
offers free tethering, while Verizon charges $20 for it. I might like to
tether to my laptop b/c a bigger screen might be better for extended net
use. But do I really need tethering? Also, I know that pics look better on
the Vibrant screen, but which one actually *takes* the best pics?
There is a difference in thickness. Vibrant feels really light. For people
who are use to really phones than go with the DX. The Vibrat uses wireless
HD streaming. And specs the DX is not better. Only that it has a higher
megapixel res, and it has flash. But theres an option on the Vibrant for
night time pictures. and believe it or not they auctually look good. The
Vibrant is more powerful than the DX. The processor is better. best in the
mobile world rite now. humminBird processor. Cool vid.
Vibrant for the win. The Droid X is a suitcase. I haven't seen a phone that
big since Zach Morris carried one around in the early 90's. Who really
needs a 4.3 inch screen? It's so unnecessary on such a big device. The
Vibrant packs everything into an already big (and gorgeous might I add) 4
inch display. There isn't one thing I can complain about with the Galaxy S
line. Samsung has gone out of its way to produce a fine product. Now, we
wait for the 2.2 update in September.
One thing to point out about HDMI output Virbant have the similar function
with its 3.5mm audio/video jack which is able to output moives, music to
TV. Anohter is battery life, I don't think X will win because X has TFT and
Vibrant has Super AMOLED which is known to drain less bettery then any
other type of screen, since they all runs on same OS and 1g processor then
all it matters is the screen, which in this case vibrant should take the
win on battery life.
cool review...hard call.. I plan to upgrade to either the Droid x or
verizon's version of the Vibrant, the Samsung Fascinate...very hard
call....one thing I do like about the Samsung that is not mentioned is that
the SAR (radiation) rating is much lower....that makes me lean more towards
the Samsung....... since they are similar and it is a close call , i figure
I might as well get the one with the lower radiation output. Any thoughts?
@tarunrad I have the Vibrant. And yes, although it has some bugs here and
there, there's fixes for that. Just do your research. Plus Froyo is coming
soon, so don't your panties in a bunch. Too fucking bad, this is one of the
best phones out there. You just don't jack. What are you, just plain
ignorant and biased? I would say so, I suggest you do your research before
putting down a phone that kills the iPhone with extreme prejudice.
lol @colonelchaos09 he kind of like me in a sense. he got the vibrant and
he's not going to let anybody put it down. i feel you i got the vibrant
also. and i wouldn't trade it for no phone out! it has one of the best cpu,
gpu and displays on the market. yeah it have it problems but what phone
doesn't. 90% of the time they are releasing ota updates to fix problems
with the new phones.
And lastly, your comparison that the Droid X is a more 'serious' phone is
just ridiculous. It has no justification whatsoever, and when you throw in
the specs into the batter for the Droid X, just like to point out the specs
on the Vibrant are better overall, except for megapixel count. But, what
good is the megapixel count when your photos still look washed out on the
screen?
Sorry sergi but there's no downside when it comes to the Vibrant's web
browser. It's faster than the Droid X's, even though the Vibrant's running
2.1 and Droid X is running 2.2. The ad issue will be fixed once the Vibrant
get Froyo in October, and once that happens it will have flash and of
course get a boost in speed. It'll be even faster!
liked the video much better than the iphone one haha everyone gets so bold
with their youtube comments though so no offense if mine pissed you off a
bit i pick the vibrant cause it is bright fast and gorgeous i feel that the
motorblur kills the x if it ran stock android then it might be the winner
though
the only thing i don't like about my vibrant is the plastic back cover. i
drop my phone alot because the back be too slippery sometimes. but believe
me its going to be some custom back covers for this bad boy in do time!!
i have love the droid for a while it was the iphones first competion an it
is amazing but galaxy s is better and verizon needs to stop giving motorola
freedom bcuz it makes ugly looking monster like phones
@ColonelChaos09 I see you coming on every vid and cussing out people when
they dont even say shit that bad. so shut your fucking teeth boy. (this is
coming from a galaxy s fanboy btw)
Gah, this doesn't help me, lol. I'm not sure if I should get the Droid X
now or wait for the Fascinate to come out for Verizon (whenever that
happens).
I've never used Encounter ICS on my X personally. I've always stayed with
CM9 or Gummy personally. The only major issue with any ICS rom on the DX is
the horrible battery life, but that's no real fault of the phone, but
Motorola themselves by not giving us an unlockable bootloader. From my
understanding, Gummy and MIUI ( My U I ) are the most complete and working
ICS roms available for the Droid X. And for the OP, I'm surprised you
haven't upgraded your tech by now man XD
First off thanks for this video. I rooted my girls DX months ago. My
question is if the phone is rooted do i need the boot strap(if so witch
one)? can I just download CM to the SD then wipe & install? I'm sure I
forgot to ask something, I might ask another question after your response.
KEEP IT UP, TNX!!!!
SOMEONE PLEASE HELP ME I successfully ran ice cream sandwhich on my droid x
but now I'm stuck on the moving square things when the phone is booting up.
I can go into bootloader and can go into the android system recovery and
there's is nothing I can do to get the phone to work. SOMEONE PLEASE HELP ME
Got this load and all phone functions work fine, however lots of apps don't
work like netflix, youtube, could never get tethering to work either. Oh
and backup assistant is not preloaded into it so you will not have your
contacts unless you save them elsewhere.
Am I the only one that can't find a copy of the file anywhere? GooManager
isn't finding it, and a link for the file is missing in most of the forums.
I'm giving my old DX to a friend and was gonna flash ICS onto it prior to
doing so...
I have watched numerous videos on installing a custom Rom, and I have one
question remaining.. Once I flash a new Rom,, will I have to reinstall all
of my apps and SD card contents? Help is greatly appreciated.
Yeah Droid 2 Bootstrap in order to get to Clockwork Mod. I recommend
grabbing Rom Manager from the Play Store (free) and go into RM, flash CWM
(Droid X 2nd Init), then reboot into recovery and go from there.
@MegaAndroid94 dude this helped me a lot. i got frustrated trying to get
into ClockworkMod Recovery but after some digging around I finally got it.
Thanks man. and when you doing a walkthrough of the UI?
I should have watched this first. I knew CM could take a minute on the
first boot but I didn't realize how long. It wasn't bootlooping so I guess
it was working. My bad =p Good walkthrough though.
ahh right thats for clearing that up for me :), that sucks why is that?
thats lame for people in the US, i heard Canadian S3 has snapdragon 1.7ghz
quadcore. that should go international, i want on but im just waiting for
the one x + as that will be fastest phone technically speaking. any idea
when the one x + will be out cos i can't find much info other than around
November but its November and no signs of release?
I'm not sure about Canadian S3, but those are great specs, same goes for
the One X+. The only letdown for me is that fixed 32gb memory with no micro
sd slot. I've heard the Optimus G or the Note II are better alternatives to
the X+, Both offer great performance and better graphics than the X+
(according to synthetic benchmarks)
F At&t , Verizon and T-Mobile USA . Metropcs is the best complete unlimited
4g LTE in the 70$ plan and good 4g phones like the LG Connect 4g with dual
core processor , 1g of ram and dual cameras and the LG Esteem 4g 1g
processor 512mb ram dual cameras and 4.3 inch screen
So ya ganna do a new video now that the MAXX has the ICS? My brother has
the G3 and i have the MAXX.. the G3 is a little slower! But a nice phone on
the VRZ network :) next update Jellybean? Haha.. PS fu** iPhone slow,
outdated, over rated pc of CRAP.
Motorola set default cpu governer to interactive which means the Razr is
actually running on a single core all the time. After you root and enable
the 2nd core, you can see the device run as smooth as Project Butter :)
No i understand that he used to be overweight in his older videos I've been
watching his videos for a few years now i just don't see how when someone
makes an achievement of losing weight is so funny :/
I think there's a slight mistake here buddy ! But the HTC one x is the one
with the weaker 1,800 mAh battery and the Motorola Droid RAZR MAXX is the
one with the 3,300 mAh battery !
You know I like the Motoblur. In my opinion it is 100 times better than
that fucking touchwis. If samsung has got a good user interface, their
phones will be the best of all.
the international version has a quad core processor...this is the us at&t
version....its has a dual core processor....i think thats to support 4g
lte......
In my personal opinion the HTC ONE X is slightly better than the motorola
droid razer maxxxxxxxx. but that's just me. and Aaron like your work good
job
