@leowang55 It looks like he's using the SDK to simulate the application. so i dont think it would be over 3G connection. Altho i've never written an android app! but i'm sure that would be the aim? If so that would be very cool! I'm just thinking of the possibilities! Phone hooked up to a robot recieving commands thru the socket over a 3G network = Huge wireless range!

Nice tutorial, most of the stuff works in general, but SOCKET datatype? That's just for Windows, isn't it? Not much for linux/unix programmers. :(

This is my 1st android apps...Just able to trigger the Digital Output via Modbus Protocol (All ADAM-6000 Series support Modbus/TCP) Modbus is open standard protocol...and easy to implement (especially Modbus/TCP)... If you look for Android-based Modbus app...you may try "Modbus-Droid"... Java programming, please search "Modbus4j"....A Modbus standard library for JAVA :)
