Hey guys, this is a demo of the new Amplitube app for the Android from IK Multimedia. Amplitube has been out on iOS for a while now and they've finally brought ...
Was a little disappointed no four track was included like on the iPhone.
Since discovered I can use it simultaneously with a multi track recorder
app! No need to get ripped off and buy the irig pro duo...
I have the blackstar fly 3 and extension cab and use them as studio monitors lol. they don't really colour the sound too much. I should really invest in some monitors though but they do the job I guess. I'm not trying to pass my skills off as a pro. still very much a beginner when it comes to studio work/music on youtube
+Tony Lord Yeah it does suck.I guess a lot has to do with the capability and compatibility of the devices. With the iOS apps it's very easy to design for it because you're just working with one type of device (iPhone or iPad) which all run the same way but with Android, they can range from £50 cheap smart phones to top of the range devices, so I imagine there's alot more issues, especially considering the amount of power it'll probably take to run something like this, even more if you're adding a recording feature. probably why they just designed it for the higher end Samsungs. I don't know 100% or whether my theory even makes sense but I'm guessing it's something along those sort of lines. If it makes no sense I apologize, my brain hasn't clicked on that it's almost mid day and still thinks I've just rolled out of bed lol. The app is decent for what it is but the iOS version is far superior. I use it on my iPad and looking at getting an iPod Touch to put Amplitube, Jam Up Pro etc on so I can have a portable recording rig with me at all times.
by the look of it the free version just has the Lead Amp and you can buy all the Amplitube models but none of the ones like Slash's signature stuff but the UA demo look like it already comes with all the Amplitube models. Pretty confusing.
I'm not totally sure, this is the app Amplitube Free. I realised not too long ago that the UA app looks different and has more models. I don't know why there are 2 apps that look different then. sorry about any confusion, I'm going to have to look further into it. I haven't really used it since the video as I've been using Guitar Rig on my pc or Jam Up Pro on my iPad
I'm recording straight from the jack input on my phone to my Focusrite 18i20 into Reaper. No post EQ. I had to screen shot the amp settings because I didn't know an Android Screen Recorder existed at the time
+Doodles had a comment from a viewer asking if my accent is Scottish, got an e-mail with the comment but it's no where to be seen. So if you posted that comment I hope you see this. No I'm not Scottish, close though, I'm from County Durham, just a couple hours from Scotland. Glad you liked the vid, if you want to see more hit IK Multimedia up on Twitter and tell them, I'd love to work something out with them.

+Funkydrumma126 Thank you for your suggestion. The iOS app (all iOS music apps, really) have had quite a head start due to no latency problems out of the gate.
+Nicola Turco I do not find any information yet about whether that Samsung device will support the Samsung Pro Audio SDK. Please contact Samsung and they should be able to advise.

Hey!
Does the Amplitube UA app work with iRig 2, or does the Amplitube UA app
only work with iRig UA? If the app only works with iRig UA, does the iRig
UA work with my smartphone? I have LG G3 smartphone with android 5.0
Thank you.

+dragonclaw88 All of the processing is done on iRig UA so that is not the way it should sound. If you are demoing AmpliTube UA without iRig UA that would be a hardware limitation of your device which will not be an issue when the app is run on the iRig UA hardware (since iRig UA takes all of the processing load off of your device). iRig UA for Android vs. iRig HD for iOS
Our firends at IK Multimedia have crossed over the powerful iRig system to the Android with iRig UA. Most Android phones running Lollipop can take advantage ...
+Javier Gardella I don't understand what you are asking. The iOS version has more options than the Android because of the software. That could change next week.
+Geekazine I couldn't figure it out either. As soon as you started to play, the sound became squeaky. My iRigUA just came in so need to string up my Invader. Thanks for the reply bro.
