I love this song the most keep going in the direction and one thing i don't
like was the lazy pot head stuff just because u get stoned doesn't mean u
can pick up the area around u and its better to have clean area for the
plant's: )

Top 3 Ways to Green Your Diet
John from //www.growingyourgreens.com/ shares his top 3 ways to green your diet on this Earth Day 2012.
Brilliant video. This is my first year growing and I started in december
buying a few greens to put in my square foot garden bed, but I only bought
3 kale plants, 1 spinach plant and thats it for greens lol But now I know
better to buy more of the same. This winter i am going to plant one row of
swiss chard, one row of spinach, one row of cilantro, one row of parsley
and one row of arugula! Thanks for the tip on eating your greens. I am
definitely eating more of them since i started growing :)
That would be awesome to be in an episode! The thing is though I only have a
home garden now because I didn't like some of the things that were going on
at the little farm I had. Someone kept turning off my water and messing
with my stuff. I would love for you to come to my home garden though! Maybe
coming up here in a few months you could come by when things are "growing
on" in my garden, it's a little slow because I moved into this house not
too long ago. Keep in [email protected]
It amazes me all the negative comments I see on youtube...and the internet
period. John's just trying to do the right thing. It's like people try to
find negative things to say. Anyways...I saw you at the Heirloom Expo John!
I kept seeing you but I was too shy to say hi! I'm an 18 year old gardener,
and I actually grew veggies on a 1/4 of an acre last year to sell at my
local farmers market. I love being able to log onto youtube everyday and
know that you always have atleast one new video!
hi john, I love your videos, and I see you eat all kinds of interesting
things in your garden. taught me about what I am buying at the asian store.
how do you know what part of plant you can eat? Could you kindly make a
video of "What parts of the whole plant is edible, and is it recommended?"
Just like the carrots greens in your garden. and what is toxic or
poisonous. I know this info is peppered all over your episodes. or could
you direct me to the video if you have done it already
"Eat less food for less impact on the enviorment"? Tell me John how are you
protecting those wonderful veggies there in your CA garden from Fukushima
toxicity ? How can outdoor gardeners possibly shield their crops from what
is comng in from Japan. Perhaps you are unaware of just how serious "the
enviorment" is being affected ? Give it some thought as even healthy foods
are not healthy if they are contaminated. Mainstream is silent on what is
happening. I do like your videos though.
Food high in calories & low in nutrientscontribute to cravings & overeating
as the body desparately tries to get what its need. (HFCS & trans-fats are
other contributors.) Industrially farmed food, veggie or meat, lacks
nutrients, contains toxic residues & negatively impacts the planet - and
our health. Eco-farming methods raise plant & animals in natural balance &
contribute to the health of the earth. Plants & animals thrive together &
build soil fertility. Food for thought...
John, where do you sell your great juicers and how can I purchase? Love
MOST of your videos, especially the store field trips, but wasn't crazy
about this Earth Day episode. It got a bit too preachy and lecturing. Your
message is great, your delivery...got a bit longwinded. Also, where can I
purchase Kakai pumpkin seeds or starts? Please accept this as constructive
criticism, as I am a long time fan that has a whole front yard full of food
plants because of YOU! Thanks!.
I understand everyone has their opinions, and I respect that and everyone
is not always going to agree with me. Its my goal to help "open peoples
eyes and ears" to other ways of thought and in my opinion "a better way".
That's great you are growing so much food and even selling it at your
farmers market? I might want to do an episode showing what you are doing to
inspire other people your age! PS. I don't bite - although sometimes my
foster dog does :)
Thanks for all the info, here is my question, I have many bugs like spider
mites, worms, stink bugs and they get to my veg/tomato before i do. How do
you kill your bugs without harming the bees? Also what do you use to kill
bugs with, plus what time is the best to kill, and how often? Thanks you
are great i love all your videos, please reply, shalom Anna
Good point! Chickens eat many garden pests, weeds, & weed seeds.
W/reasonable management (nearly effortless on a small scale) chickens are
eco-friendly! Rabbits, too. Actually, any animal brought to us by nature!
(Raising & feeding animals unnaturally, especially in industrial farming,
turns beneficial organisms, like cattle, into a problem. Sigh.)
I love all your videos! Please tell me the kind of soil I should be
using...I have been gardening for a long time and my garden looks like your
neighbors...how do you keep the bugs out? could you give me a 1, 2, 3
lesson on the soil and what to add to it...thank you so much, I have
learned so much from you....thanks again, joanie in Arizona
JOHN: I READ SOMEWHERE THAT IT TAKES 5 THOUSAND GALLONS OF WATER TO PRODUCE
ONE POUND OF BEEF! THAT'S FROM RANCH TO MEAT MARKET. THE MIDWEST HAS A
GIANT CISTERN THAT COVERS SEVERAL STATES. WATER IS BEING DRAWN FROM THIS
CISTERN AND CAN NOT BE REPLACED - THEY PREDICT THAT A MASSIVE AREA OF LAND
WILL COLLASPE AS A RESULT OF THIS WATER USAGE!
I don't agree with everything that he says but I do like that he encourages
people to have a garden. Food from a home garden tastes better and is
probably healthier for you. Sometimes he does he his opinions but most of
the time he just focuses on gardening. I don't always agree with him but I
think his videos do help grow a better garden.
1.GROW YOUR OWN FOOD. zero transportation & storage costs. low energy &
pollution costs. 2.EAT GREENS. Nutrient rich, less labor intensive to
produce than starches and very much less energy & pollution intensive than
meat. 3. EAT LESS. Eat onlywhat your body needs. Don't be one of the 66% of
overweight Americans.
Growing youe own stuff allso helps the Earth, by hellping insects, bees and
worms. This hellps the sircle of the Earth and any GOWERMENT! That tryes to
shut farmers down.... LIKE America is at the moment. Is a shit corupt
gowerment. Thx for all the videos man, it realy hellps to get me out
working.
I agree with what you said. I'm conservative and stuff about carbon stuff
doesn't turn me off because everything else John talks about is something
that's important too me. The whole reason I think gardening is important is
YOU will not only know where it comes from, but the quality of the food.
Eat LESS!!!! No, No No,No........Eat better! Most of us don't eat enough
greens and veggies. Changing the balance makes much more sense than eating
less unless someone truly has a body fat issue. I like 99% of your video
content so don't be disheartened by my rare constructive criticism.
i always remember one thing, animals = death, death on so many
levels....greens=alive, they keep growing after picked, and in your fridge,
most do anyways. i pick still alive as oppose to dead and rotting
slowly...just had to say that, thinking out loud
Hey John, my granddaughter and I are eating the runner beans we bought from
you.. wow, are they the best.. we had to fight grandpa for the bowl.. what
a wonderful nutty flavor.. Thank you for sharing, for sharing everything...
Sheila ~:}
I am trying to grow a lot of veggies, thanks to your videos. Once I watch
them I get the confidents to try it. Thanks for being such a great teacher
and telling it like it is all the time!!! Black thumb to green thumb.
hey john you think you can make a video on warmer weather crops? spring
time is fairly short in bakersfield,ca... seems to get warmer sooner..
shoot it was 95 degrees yesterday good thing my lettuce didnt burn
Again fantastic information,The green top of carrots have more benefits
than the root. Yes grow our own gardens is the message for the day! Have a
blessed day, Wonderful garden thx for posting!
Thank you John, for you! Beginning my Green journey and found your vids to
keep me inspired continually. Better yet in advancing one step at a time on
my journey! Thank you! Vicki
OH ONE QUESTION !!! Is the Azomite GRANULATED trace minerals the SAME as
the Azomite MICRONIZED rock dust minerals? I mean, not the same but does it

impact
