eggs are the biggest abomanation in the middle east i think cause if you
eat eggs you wont somthing all the time they make you greedy,beside thier
round like that like if you eat pork you look round like of seasmie street

first of all...read Ecclesiastes: "there nothing new under the sun" so your
2012 argument holds no water. secondly...we don't do it because it's
considered starting a fire. same reason we don't drive. not because of the
driving. because when you start your car, you fire up the spark plug. as
for "nonsense"...sometimes in life, you have to restrain yourself from
something to enjoy it. you dig? sometimes you have to voluntarily lose
freedoms that you have for one day to appreciate that you have.

It is great to see Jewish communities rising again in Europe/G.B. where
religious Jews are having so many kids and passing their traditions
down..... Am Yisrael Chai! The Nation of Israel Lives! 70 yrs after we were
almost completely wiped out we are growing again...not only in Manchester,
but in Miami, NY and Jerusalem. The revival of religious jewry is only
beginning; when I was a kid 20 yrs ago I read about how Jews were
inevitably dying out, now we have the highest birthrate in the West

I like the part where she's talking about their meal. I too had no previous
concept of what made Jewish food Jewish apart from it being kosher (the
definition of which I'm still not 100% certain of). Fastforward a couple of
years later, my friends friend from Israel came over and made this huge
meal which completely blew my mind it was so good. To this day I don't know
what I ate, but I would do it again in a heartbeat. It was that damn good!

As a child born in America, removed from any of those horrors... I still
tremble at the sight of the flag. Being Jewish truly is about community.
You share in the happiness and the fear. Whether you are religious and
sharing in the awe while being told about Mount Sinai, or secular and
sharing in the pain of the tales of the elderly survivors... it is all felt
together as a people.

Nothing is explained very well! Did the film-makers go out of their way to
find Jewish people who couldn't explain the point behind any of these
practices, or did they just edit out the explanations, in order to make
Jewish behavior look as random and bizarre as possible? This series seems
to be trying to make Jews look strange and different, it's not a
sympathetic portrayal.

This is such a great programme. Every Muslim should watch this to show
that Jews share some of the same customs. I am not Muslim, nor Jewess nor
Chinese but I appreciate your customs and religious practices. And
hopefully one day I can find some Jewish ancestors in my family tree as
they hale from the Manchester region.

This guy hasn't a clue what he is talking about. Kosher is kosher all Jews
can eat anything that is kosher. Some orthodox sects are completely over
the top but can eat anything from any Beth Din.
