Hello!
Thank you for uploading such interesting and informative videos!
Also I would like to know why the surgeon is not wearing scrubs while the
assistant is?
shouldn't both of them wear scrubs?
/Student from another country (I'm Italian and Swedish)
You are welcome. The need is no for full theater gowns on the surgeon, however, a lot of nurses who are going to be moving around and hence contacting the sterilized regions during the surgery feel more at ease in a gown, just in case they make contact. I hope that makes sense, plus nurses tend to be a bit more uptight about these things than us surgeons! For Dermatological surgery scrubs a hat and a face mask, sterile gloves and good technique are the things you need..
