NO , she didn't choose she was forced to , her manager DR.Luck and Max Martin bullied her and made fun of her body image and at that point she had nobody on her side cuz everybody made fun of her bikini beach body ,  so she taught that she must loos weight , even her songs , she has lot o positive self loving song on her album and all of her interviews and tweets preaches about "self love"and "acceptance" but again she was forced to sing "party" "pop" songs like tik tok or die young .......
