This guy is shredded not because of IIFYM, but because of genetics and his
macros. You'd never get shredded with IIFYM as a fat endomorph going
through insulin spikes and junk food.
You have to be smart with your carbs if you aren't an ectomorph, this guy
has an impressive physique but he's not big at all.

The 3 somatotypes are bullshit. Ectomorphs are frail and skinny because they stay inside all day and don’t eat enough or are very active yet don't eat enough. Either way, they look like that because they don't eat enough. Mesomorphs are described to be the athletic and well-built (i.e., a jock). They play sports and eat a lot of food growing up and thus have a respectable body. An Endomorph body type is a fatso with or without some muscle underneath because he sits around and eats all day, nothing more.

Not sure how I'm comforting myself lol, just giving my opinion on how people sell IIFYM as if it's the best approach to dieting. It's def not, it's the best lazy approach but if you want to get serious you're going to have to work a little harder.And be my guest, go get shredded no one said that this type of dieting isn't effective.

There is no way you can argue that taking things to the next level and actually having control of more variables with your nutrition will not yield in better results, it's ignorant.IIFYM is just a relatively easy and appealing approach for people to stick to macros. Who doesn't want to eat cupcakes and burgers and still be shredded? It's possible and people are doing it, but if you want to be a little bigger and a little more shredded in less time, you have to put in the leg work.

You will lose way less muscle while in a deficit, and gain much more muscle in a surplus if you control your blood sugar levels to your advantage(same fucking concept applies to why people inject insulin in the bodybuilding world).I know this is too advanced for you, but I think you will get it.

Your body mass will always go down on a deficit, I never said that it wouldn't. The question is what weight are you losing?Ectomorphs naturally maintain lower fat levels and have better reaction to different blood sugar levels etc.Endomorphs have a tendency to convert energy into fatty tissue rather than refill glycogen storages or metabolize the carbs.You might be losing weight on a deficit but while Max's cut has a 9:1 fat vs. muscle ratio, you may have a 5:1 ratio running the same kind of diet.You might be the ignorant one, you seem to be applying a basic principle in physics to a complex biochemical process that has more variables than your entire vocabulary.Trust me when I say that when someone natural and much bigger than Max is trying to cut down, they will lose less muscle during the cut if they stick to a clean diet that doesn't spike your insulin levels unnecessarily.If you know how to manipulate the glycemic index and apply it into your macros it will benefit you much more than the lazy IIFYM approach, natty or enhanced.
