My review/unboxing of the NZXT H440 is out! I actually really like this case. A LOT. I've spent some more time with it during B-roll shooting and taking the system ...
+zen flores Depends on what your looking for. If you're looking for a completely silent build, the define r5 is a way better choice. Imo the h440 is a bit more stylish than the r5, although they both look awesome. :)
+Jordan Lea I fitted my GTX 970 G1 just fine after removing one of the hdd cages, and the G1 is one of the biggest cards out there, so don't worry you will be fine.
+Jordan Lea I doubt it wouldn't fit, its ATX I'm sure if you take out one of the hard drive cages it would fit fine.Hopefully it will fit my gtx 980 ti....
+RemovedMoney 326 so you think a gtx 980 would fit? Just bought one cuz i got a great deal and wondering if i'm gonna have to change cases now. It's so big!
+Jordan Lea are you thinking about the G1 windforce 3x? Thats what Im going to be trying to fit.. Looks a bit fishy tho that card is MASSIVE and I am scared.....
The H series of corsair liquid coolers have leds on the processor cooler itself. you can programm which color using the Corsair Link software with compatible corsair coolers
+CoCo CoCo You could order a small sheet of 3M Dinoc carbon fiber vinyl sheet and cut it to cover the entire black section containing the logo. It's thick and easy to apply. It looks nice if you take time to cut it out perfectly and apply it carefully.
+ryushev2000 You can always get an external Blu-ray drive. I picked one up for cheap awhile back and use it mostly to reinstall Windows via a Dell OEM disc for people I work with.As for the fan controller, if the hub that is built into this case isn't good enough there are some really decent internal fan controllers that utilize software. I have a Corsair Commander Mini in my mATX build and it works perfectly. Granted, there's no screen to show you on the case itself that shows you details (it's a software controller), but I'd rather have the slot taken up by the 5.25" bays utilized for something like another, especially since physical media seems to be going the way of the dodo.To each their own, though.
+christopher villareal have you heard of fan controllers or coolant tanks that fit into 5.25 bays? also having a blu ray dvd cd drive is very practical especially if you want to listen to older cds or when your friends use outdated tech
+Aurahead If I cannot put a CD/DVD Drive in this case then can you tell me another way to install windows? I have Windows 7 Ultimate on a disc and I have the Product Code.
Hey AuraHead, you have replaced all H440 coolers by Corsairs coolers? How
many exactly did you used in ?
And what is the name of the songs you used please haha
+Lucas Tomioka I only replaced fans at the back. I kept front fans and added top fans for radiator Corsair 100i. As for the song, look at the credit :)
how did you get power for the fans using the fan hub. my fans will not work
and neither do the lights that light up the nzxt logo or the IO panel. How
can you get the hub and lights working ? could you possibly make a video on
it ?
+Aurahead I did and still no power :( I know I'm doing something wrong but what I can't figure it out. could you possibly make a short tutorial on it if it doesn't get in the way of anything. A video tutorial would help me out a lot.
How do you get power to the boot up button? I'm not sure where to connect
that 4 pin thin rectangular case plug that I think controls the fans and
front panel. I'm getting a standby light and usb power when I turn on the
PSU but I'm not able to boot up. Thanks!
NZXT H440 Limited Edition Colors Unboxing and Review - Unpacked
Well you guys asked for it so here's a look at the Red and Blue color schemes for the H440 from NZXT. Honestly if you're looking for a color matching rig, look no ...
+Marty Harold I'm yet to take the protective plastic off the side of it because it isn't in its permanent place yet and is at risk of scratches so can't give a definite answer.
Build details: //pcpartpicker.com/b/LX2 Big thanks go out to NZXT for graciously providing us the newly released H440! It is a beautiful case, with amazing ...
+Daniel Mislati like holding a ball of tinfoil? not really. the whole point is to ground your body. your feet and your shoes don't conduct into the ground too well and don't dissipate small current like static well. so any static charge you have gets discharged through your fingertips and into the computer parts your handling, like when you touch a doorknob and get shocked. the wrist band grounds you to the wall outlet and dissipates your body's static charge into that or a nearby object instead of the computer parts. but you can also get the same effect by holding a large enough metal object to dissipate any built up charge, like the computer case or a metal table or something. usually when I'm working on my desktop, I don't even do that. as long as you weren't rubbing your socks on a carpet lately and the air isn't too dry, you should be fine. but if you want to be safe, ground yourself first
No, it won't. There's filtered vents at the bottom of the case where the psu is, so you would have a fan-down mounted power supply, and it won't be choked.
+Emmett Friedrichs Download os iso file then use rufus bootable device. pick either fat32 configuration for latest bios. The rest is google because I don't remember that much
Well, You don't have to if you don't want, that is just an option. I'm not exactly sure how you would install an os with a USB stick, so your best bet right now would be Google. There are many sites. Sorry for misunderstanding
Also you need to consider a few things. Even though a gaming notebook (Laptop) is lightweight, compact, and portable it is also very expensive, not as efficient as a desktop, and can overheat extremely easily. A desktop however is upgrade-able, very efficient (not over-heatable with the correct cooling systems) and is cheap if you build a custom PC. The slight advantage to getting a laptop is that it has a built-in monitor and keyboard when a desktop requires you to buy them separately, but the disadvantage to a laptop is that it is hard to replace a broken component. So I would for sure go for a desktop computer. But if your a "on-the-road" gamer, the best choice is a laptop. I hope my opinion helps :)
Will this case work good with a Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO or is it
designed to work with a watercooler? Or do I even need another fan with
this case?
NZXT and Razer teamed up to take the already great looking H440 and make it even better. The Razer Edition of the H440 has an all black look with Razer ...
so I'm getting this case for my latest build actually my first build I have
a question? how would I install the OS cause you cant fit a optical drive
in this> buy a external optical drive?
+Mantrousse (Pala) is my love and is my life. Your list is not showing in the part list. Double check the link. I might be able to help if you haven't pulled the trigger yet. Even still I might be able to help with some minor tweaks with what you chose.
Although the white H440 looks very slick, the Define R5 looks much more
professional and minimal. I'm not into tacky gamer cases either. White LEDs
only too lol.
I wouldn't call it "tacky". For being a gaming case it's still very sleek and basic yet good looking. Mine has a white LED. I chose H440 because the red/black is the best looking R/B case ever made IMO
My H440 was delivered yesterday. Going to be modifying the power supply
NZXT logo with something else, and sleeve my PSU cables to match the red
accent. Anyone want a Corsair 540 case? haha.
+Kyle Gruber glad you had a pleasant experience. I did hear they fixed some of the main issues with the case so maybe thats why you dont have issues. it is a gorgeous case but i dont want to buy another just have it look nice again haha. it was on sale last year for 80$ around Christmas i might pick it up of it goes down to that price again and change the panels and the window
+Weech0 The window is great. I don't have any issues with finger prints on the window, nor the case itself. The only issue I have with it is how much noise comes through it. Even after installing sound dampening foam, which did help a lot, but it's still too loud for me. Also, the case is huge width wise. When I first got it, the width wasn't an issue, but after having it and staring at it for about a year, I wanted to switch to a standard width. I got the Black and Red H440. Loving how it looks so far, but I don't understand why they put the air flow grills on are on the top panel, facing the window side. Window side is most likely going to face you, so why direct the noise in that direction? You could always replace your window though, You just have to bend the metal brackets straight and remove the plastic panel and replace it.
im actually thinking of changing my h440 for an air 540. how's the 540s window quality? and does the case attract fingerprints? my h440s window is extremely scratched, and i have fingerprints that will not come off. i spent 130$ on this case only for it to look like crap after standard cleaning. i have the black one btw.
The front air flow on the H440 is blocked a little, but I think it's still fine. The temps might go up by a few degrees, but that won't be much of a problem.
can someone help me? i have this case (r5) and a r9 295x2, i mounted the
rad on top, and i want to buy an h100i liquid cooler but dont know where to
put it? do i just fit it on top or what? its kinda outta space, thanks.
I still don t own this case but as u see in the video u can put one ssd on the back or in the caddy and the ssd there as well. if u do not have a fan on the floor then u can put this one caddy closer to the PSU.
I have a 4770k air cooled. in an antec 300 illusion. Plenty of airflow, but
Im sick of the dust. I want a closed dust free environment that isnt going
to melt my cpu and gpu.
Anyone?
+Varga Dániel I went with the R5 because of the optical drive space as well. I have a collection of Blu-Rays I still watch, always higher quality over streaming video in my area.
+Rez Yeah thanks. I dont really plan on doing hardcore gaming with intole core i7 processors and stuff, so i am gonna build this one cause it is reasonable for a 12 year old i guess to play some games and do school work aswell. Greetings from norway btw
Nice build! I'm from Denmark, so i can pretty much understand it all.I was about to ask you, why you are not getting the Define S instead. Then i found out it was a bundle. :)
+Miguel Quirijnen I will give the link to the build here you go https://www.komplett.no/product/793073/datautstyr/pc-i-deleroppgradering/pc-i-deler-intel/pc-i-deler-core-i5-4690k-gtx960.It is in norwegian though but just scroll a little down and you should see what is inside.
+Miguel Quirijnen for music the stock fans are great, but I would add 1 more 140mm to the front if you run a hot cpu on air. the temps are a little warmer than a HAF type case. just a fair warning. (only like 2-10c hotter so no major issue for most people. )
I love it due to my fans I added it will never be completely silent, BUT it is perfect when watching netflix on my 42" 3' above it ha ha ha cant hear it. but that is with a silent fan profile for me. I will be replacing my CPU AIO with a 140mm version or a 280mm rad. and some custom fit fan shrouds. which will drop the rest of my noise by a lot.
I am using the stock fans they work well. but I added a low RPM bottom fan to feed my GPU and have my Corsair H75 pulling air in from the front. No window
+yourmetalgod69 How do you like your R5 so far? I just bought one last night. I'm hoping it improves my Netflix experience because I don't always wear headphones and my current case fans are loud.
