Nanaimo bars are considered to be a Canadian invented recipe. These are included in almost all dessert trays that are served at any kind of party or function ...
hey i love all your recipes so much you are awesome , but i just wanted to
ask a question, what is the role of the liquid extracts(vanilla, almond,
etc) on the desert. i know everyone uses them all the time but i was just
wondering are they sooo significant?!?! like if you dont add them will the
desert be bad!? are they just for flavouring! its just because almost 99%
of these extracts have some alcohol and i dont use anything that has any
amount of alcohol!
Is there any substitute for custard powder beside vanilla pudding powder?
The only place I know where to find it is far away from my house and I
don't want to go there. I saw on the internet, they said substitute it with
cornstarch and add more vanilla extract (because it's only for thickening
purpose), is that right?
It is for flavour only, if you leave it out you will have a less flavourful
dessert, that's pretty much it. There are alcohol free vanilla extracts out
there, you may have to order it in online. My homemade vanilla video has a
link to a website where you can make your own using glycerin
My boyfriend and I are in a long distance relationship; he's from BC Canada
and I'm from Oregon USA, and we make Nanaimo bars every time we visit each
other. We'll be making this recipe when he comes to see me next week. Thank
you for all the wonderful videos! :)
Just thought I'd be fun to tell you. I live in the cowichan valley only 5
minutes from cowichan may and 30 minutes from Ladysmith that I go up to
Nanaimo quite often and have family up there. Now you know you have a
follower that lives where it originated from
Thanks for answering that, it really was a passive/aggressive comment
wasn't it? Strangely, I get the most insults about being "fat" on the
videos where I just show my hands, so it doesn't seem to make a big
difference. :)
it's the same with neighbour, labour, centre, metre.. so on and so fourth.
basically anytime we have an 'ou' or 're' they have an 'o' or 'er'. Don't
ask me why, maybe the just did it out of spite for the British
i made this today with my cousin! i used a big pyrex dish so they turned
out thin... but they tasted like heaven...my brother even told me to drop
out of school and start making sweets! =P
awwwwww, The song in the background reminds me of one similar that my
boyfriend played for me!!!. If your reading this comment I love you William
and thanks for the song I loved it
let me ask you a question do you think people think of nanaimo when they
think of nanaimo bars and do you think people think of mars when they eat
mars bars
Maaaan I'm just drooling here. I have never had this kind of dessert, but
it sure looks amazing. I'm just too much of a loser in the kitchen to try
this.
I eat the scorpian and worm lolipops. I just dont eat the bug and bean
boozzled, its just disgusting. I got booger and moldy cheese. Eww. And yall
forgot one. My dad and brother eat them but its mealworms and crickets in
like this cheese stuff.

anything i could use to replace the coconut oil? or if i could do half of
it mixed with something else? coconut oil is very expensive here and the
jar they sell isnt even half a cup.
+Rosestyles8 coconut oil provides much more than other oils so it is healthier. its high in calories but the good kind. this comment had nothing to do with it anyways

+Katue Kat As someone who was a vegetarian for most of my childhood I feel compared to other foods it's pretty meh not horrible like people say but not the best food ever. That's also kinda close to Grace's actual reason she wasn't a pescatarian for moral reasons and she remembered bacon and chicken are delicious.
