I mess up a lot and there are things i cant give up like creatine and
pre-workout stims. Mind you I have tried to use all natural like Vega
Pre-workout but I lift heavy at the gym and need a stick of dynamite under
my butt sometimes to get me going. It used to be just 3 times a week
upper/lower/upper with lower being very low stim but now Im
push/pull/legs/push/pull 5 days a week so thats 4 big stim days plus 1 low
stim day and 2 stim free days :) Then i got a great blowout deal on
RapidCuts :)
so this is worse than murdering?! BOY you inferiors are irrational. you
throw a fucking hissy fit when the minority of the minority makes 1 fucking
critical video yet theres no problem w/ the entirety of the human race for
all of human history needlessly murdering.(lions kill because the NEED to,
humans do it w/ frivelous or malicious intent) i mean how the fuck does
that make sense?! you irrational inferiors. just shut the fuck up and die
so we can evolve. again, talking is worse than killing?
Generally brown rice is supposed to be better but personally I don't
believe white rice or pasta is *POISON* per se. It's fine actually, just
has fewer vitamins and fiber but it's still good food, I'd eat it. If you
can afford it, by all means, buy brown rice and wholewheat pasta every
time, but if budget is an issue white will do just fine, don't worry about
it. What IS important is to add tons of fresh veggies to grains and pastas
and really make sure to go easy on the oil, try without oil.
Only just watched a few videos of Kristen and a brief read of her blog, so
not the best judgement at the moment (nor I care in-fact wasting time on
it). But from what I can tell, she had never really accepted the whole
'Vegan' fiasco. By this I am not only meaning eating wholesome foods e.g
FRUITS but also using less and less synthetic/artificial healthcare
products etc... I personally think she did it all back to front or as you
said DW style. Shes to gourment/high fat and no fruit carbs >:(
I know what DR says it's true because I Instinctively (I figured Fat makes
you Fat) followed almost the same diet he advocates 15 years ago and had
amazing vitality and athleticism (and not just because I was younger). It's
only after I was brainwashed into thinking that I'm missing out on
something if I'm not chowing animal protein and fat that my health
deterioration began. I'm back on the right path now and feeling 1000%
better. The low carb fad sells because of the temporary weight loss.
Well it all started when I had no job but the opportunity to work at a
organic duck farm :P yes its a farm of duck... best money compared to any
other animal they said lo. And I realised a lot of what the vegan videos
show wasnt true the pain and suffering they go through... yea it still may
occur but thats it the stats Canadians dont really treat animals like that
lol. also was low energy, and got a little bored of the style. I am just
saying small points cuz you cant type a lot on youtube.
people change diets change and... the fact that animals are being
needlessly murdered changes?! i guess so cause she claimed to be an
"ethical vegan" you fucking imbecile! the ethics of it don't change. the
FACT (not belief or opinion) that animals are needlessly murdered (unlike
when other predators do it out of survival instinct) DID NOT CHANGE! ALL
HER BS IS A LOVELY LITTLE WAY TO HIDE THE FACT THAT SHE'S A HORRIBLE PIECE
OF SHIT THAT JUST DOESN'T GIVE A FUCK. YOU PEOPLE ARE TRASH. GO DIE
There are LOTS of people in vegan and raw foods out to make fast money. I
got excited when I saw one who lives in a small unheard of area in the
Ottawa valley near where I grew up so I fired off a quick e-mail saying how
cool it was to see someone from a tiny place I lived very close too as a
teen and I did not even get a hello back. Monarch seems like a total dick.
Then we have Mercola and his whey protein and Krill Oil. I have trouble
believing anyone who sells lots of things on websites
HA WHAT A FUCKING COP-OUT! I DESTROY YOUR ARGUMENT AND YOU HAVE NO REBUTTAL
WHATSOEVER! I know it got you out of a sticky situation but c'mon you have
no shame do you? again. YOU THROW A HISSY FIT WHEN 1 MEASLY PERSON GETS
UPSET AND "SWEARS" (and uses caps too? grow the fuck up if ya don't like
caps, that's trivial) YET DON'T GIVE A FUCK ABOUT THE INJUSTICE THAT HAS
THEM UPSET IN THE FIRST PLACE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! you are a fucking
irrational imbecile beyond reason. BEYOND REASON!
well yeah? what do you see as wrong with that? OF COURSE those who care
about the victims of a murder often want the murderer to die.(death penalty
idiot?) what don't you get about that? you say as if i've contradicted
myself. you ppl commit needless murder so of course i'd want you to die
(plants are needed don't go there) so now answer my question ONCE AND FOR
ALL you fucks are too cowardly to avoid it: how is angrily speaking OUT
against an injustice worse than the injustice itself?
Double dipper, triple dippers. Having viewed Jolita Brillian't videos who
switched from Vegan to Paleo, has been one of the most disgusting and
laughable things to watch. Her slop bucket of dead flesh and her slurping
pigs sound when she eats is comical. And she says she has such a love for
animals????? She wants to eat testicles now. She has lost some weight but
she is all puffy and her fantasy six pack abs are mushy flab and she has a
double chin. She calls hersellf a health coach?
You train people for free that's nice of you, what is sad is the fruitarian
who charges 125$ for one hour consultation on skype or 175$ in person and
it's not one consultation but 5 or even more sometimes. They are not
shrinks or MDs, Is it moral to make people pay to save the planet, the
animals and their health? I think it should be kind of free to get
informed. If they truly want to help people, they should make a website
with everything they know, What's your opinion on it?
TAAA DAAA!!!!!!!!!! BINGO!!!! The Doctors don't make money either. Years
ago, I cured my extreme tendinitis and carpal tunnel in both wrists by
fasting, loosing weight, improving fitness and going raw, eating mostly
almonds and apples. I didn't stick with this indefinitely, but it really
minimized the problem. The doctors said that my sodium/potassium ratio,
weight and fitness had NOTHING TO DO WITH THE PROBLEM (BULLSHIT) and they
just advised Drug$ and $urgury.
I tried a raw food a few years ago when the "fad" first started. I felt
really good, but I lost too much weight. I would eat like crazy, but I
could not regulate my weight. I never ate any of the cacao food - I think
it was really new back then - I remember hearing about it. For food choices
I was mostly following Alissa Cohen and Victoria Boutenko. Part of me wants
to try this again, but I can only eat so many bananas- that gets old real
fast :)
Yesterday I mixed a cup of oats with banana's, watermelon and coconut
water... Was not the best combination ever... My mouth tasted very acidic,
stomach cramps, I only drank half of it and I had to sleep it off lol! I
personally think it was the mixing water melon with it all (which I
shouldn't of lol), but I have in the past mixed oats with other fruits and
I was fine... I think it comes down to you personally and your money issues
aswell.
Also, she obviously wrote the book months before she posted the blog post.
Are you really that silly that you need to play the naive fool like that
when it's pretty damn obvious that a published book takes months to produce
and a blog post can come out within hours??? People change, diets change,
get over it. I do agree though that it's absurd of her to still sell those
raw food cookbooks etc. on her webpage.
Im not saying youre wrong but how could you be so sure it was only because
of cacao? Was that the only thing you ate? As i said, i didnt say youre
wrong im just lacking of "proof" ;) Im scared its unhealthy too and i think
i eat too much chocolate too but my values is atleast still very good and
im 40 now. Funny thing is if you google "cacao+adrenals" the 2:nd hit is
"Cacao is HEALING my adrenals!" xD
Hey everyone and Harley, big watcher here, but the dark circles under the
eyes thing has got to simmer down. I've had dark circles under my eyes
since I was 3 years old and who knows, it could be because I have naturally
weak kidneys or adrenals, but just because someone has dark circles under
their eyes does not necessarily mean its diet related!
Hia Harley, sorry to be completely thick about this (I'm just learning
about raw food having switched about 4 months ago) - is raw cacao powder
the same as general cocoa powder without the added crap? Love your videos
and glad I saw this one as I've been eating raw cacao powder in homemade
raw chocolate thinking it was good for me. Oops.
What I don't understand is why your so angry at everybody. Just because
people can see that something don't work for them. You get all pissy. It
you would listen to interviews she did without taking parts from a book and
bashing on people, maybe you would learn something. But if you like looking
like an ass. Carry on!
This is why I love and respect what you do. I used to be part of Beachbody
and my snake "upline" coach, as they call it, basically kicked me to the
curb when I told her I had a change of heart and wanted out if being a
Beachbody coach. I hate the whole money hungry salesman ora that Beachbody
is all about.
HARLEY PLEASE, do a response video to Eliot Hulse's "Why Prison Inmates Are
So Muscular". The amount of BULLSHIT in that video is so fucking
ridiculous, and the worse part about it, is that people are actually buying
it! Eliot was spouting the most bullshit I'd ever heard in my fucking life!
Durianrider, you have to understand. These people are put under so much
stress to write new books or else publishers may drop them. They can't have
the same resolve to live a simple life as you. But then again, it's always
good to see you still call them out on their hypocrisies :)
One of the main reasons why the Vegan diet gets portrayed negatively is
because there is no Amway-style opportunity to make money off of it like
the Paleo/Supplement/Whey bullshit monthly consumables racket.... ....I
mean, c'mon how are you gonna addict someone to an apple?
Cacao is better for your - spiritual enlightenment - pineal gland reception
- Christ like consciousnesses, through a tube shoved up your backside. Be
warned, some people cannot handle such energy and you may speak in tongues,
if you get the mixture to hot. True Story!
Hello everyone. Great clip. My close friend had been an overweight bloke.
He went from 293 lbs of fat to 204 lbs of massive lean muscle. Everyone was
astounded. I just joined myself because I wanna strengthen. He made use of
the Muscle Building Bible (Google it)...
I heard her on Dave Asprey's podcast and she says she dreamed about eggs so
she trusted it and started eating eggs the next day. Now she's paleo and a
meateater and bulletproof coffee drinker. She also said being raw vegan
depleted the strength of her teeth. Oh my!
Re Laptop mic.... The one i've used is called the Blue Tiki USB Microphone.
You can scream at it and it reduces peaks just enough not to distort. also
reduces ambient noise like wind. Order from somewhere you can return and
see if you dig it. peace!
I stopped following Kristen some months ago - now I know why I had a
strange feeling. I was so disappointed when I read the posts about her "new
diet"... Great video, as always! Keep it up! Love how you smash your
honesty and the thruth out there^^

@RawHealingPatch.... I agree. And I like the direction the raw community
seems to be heading, which is to not only be more open but also to be even
more honest. It seems like there sometimes much saving face that must be
done to keep the raw "high" in the forefront and encourage others to give
up the S.A.D. but yes, for any raw guru to be vulnerable enough to be okay
with stepping off of the expert wagon for a time would be a super-positive
thing in my book. Kudos to so many for doing just that.
@RawHealingPatch -just wanted to thank you for your comments and ongoing
balanced wisdom (here and on your vids). I agree, we do well to stay open
but be discerning about inconsistencies, and intuitive about our bodies. I
relate to what you heard here -- that her language reveals some
contradictions. We all go through experimental phases, but for me most
non-vegan experiments creates havoc in my body and my energy dips to total
fatigue which then creates a "need" for sweet stimulants to mask it
someone asked why you put the meatlady on 3 times in a row...lol...if the
interview is an hour long you can only put it in 10-15 min increments on
you tube. this would mathematically break it down to several videos. I for
one like a variety of information and appreciate kevin for sharing more
than just one side of a story. Judging anyone for eating differently is
like saying judge me for eating my way. So lets be cool and send good vibes
into the universe, peace, one love, respect and all that
After hearing all 3 shows with Susan, it seemed to me that much of her
dialog included "Opinions". And that's fine, however, having done my own
dietary explorations I find, for me, the results are quite obvious. The
more fat I add to 80-10-10, the more I slow down. I do use some raw chia
and raw flax seed, which both digest cleanly, provided I eat them alone.
btw, on Thanksgiving I ate a fairly typical T-Day meal. Now, 4 days later,
I am almost back to regular energy levels. Thanks Kev & Susan
After that is accomplished then there can be a debate about what's the
appropriate foods are for our species. There is a lot of ego involved in
this topic. No one wants to find out or admit that they might be wrong. Too
much venom coming from self appointed experts and an abundance of
arrogance. I don't uderstand it. Check out a bunch of different theories on
yourself and determine what works for YOU. Then you could possibly guide
others if they are interested but generally live and let live.
@furseiseki LOL , I used to eat steak in the morning to get my pre workout
protein . I got big muscles and I was prone to illness and had no energy .
I went from 176 to 207 pounds , but although I was physically strong , I
had to sleep for hours after working out . I got mono 2 times and had
chronic bronchitis . I bought a juicer , eat a mostly vegan diet (some goat
cheese) and now I have endless energy , never get sick ,and only weigh 185
pounds with just as much strength as at 200 pounds !
The statement here by Schenck sums up the quality of all her evidence and
what she has to say about anything: "another person who knew some insider
said...". How totally ridiculous is that? Can anyone take seriously
anything she has to say? That's what serves as "evidence" for her. That and
Nazi medical experiments in the 1930s. I guess you can write and say
whatever you want and there'll be a bunch of indiscriminating nonthinkers
(aka "fools") who will give you money for garbage! Amazing!
Thanks Kevin for posting this. I think there are to many extremist who want
to just stick to being raw without regard to what their bodies truly need.
I found it hard to stay all raw. I feel best with at least organic raw
milk/cheese and some eggs. I've also used grassfed meats, but I dont feel
as well always on meats. A balance is key for me. high raw and some animal
products. I agree with the fish. and also what she says about everyone
having different needs. Gotta love green juices tho!
I eat the chocolate whole in Santo Domingo de los Colarados en la provincia
de Pichincha, Google/youtube should banned this kind of videos, you need to
be a local and be a native Spanish speaker to go where the raw chocolate
and everything raw is, I eat mangos right from the trees, papayas and
oranges and everything so fresh, no chemicals at all, I even drive one hour
away from Guayaquil and get a big bunch of banana right from the plant for
just $3 dollars, I get a big sack of mangos $5.
@furseiseki I don't want you to feel attacked or anything but I do feel as
though your comment is slightly uncalled for. Eggs are high cholesterol
(but they do have a great deal of nutrients) - like most foods - they are
harmful in large quantities. You're certainly free to have your own opinion
on what constitutes 'healthy' foods. I use the term broadly because it
seems to be more and more subjective. However, please do respect other
people's lifestyles. :D Sorry for being overbearing!
@musicman02 forgive me iv'e never heard the joke before. but don't worry im
not mindlessly following anyone, obviously as I was just pointing out many
things i disagree with but whatever. Eggs have a lot of protein I agree
100% just as an iron bar would be a great source of Iron, but that doesn't
mean I would eat it.. Eggs come with a bit too much bad cholesterol for my
taste. You should look up Protein poisoning by the way, odds are your
getting more then you want with meats and eggs.
@katwest11 thanks for the comment, katwest 11.... yes, i think it is good
that susan is experimenting, but perhaps she could continue on her path for
a longer period of time before she jumps to conclusions and writes her next
book "proving" that a meat based diet is what she needs. with so many
contradictions and an obvious need for stimulants, i think she needs to
take some more time with herself instead of defining the ultimate diet just
yet. thanks.. it's all about staying open!
Thank you! Thats why this madness of "my diet is best!" Ayurveda states
that diff. types do well on different foods, also it takes climate, age,
activity etc. ALL OF THIS INFIGHTING ignores much of that. I truly iwth an
open mind have noticed vegans are often irritable and fly off handle-and I
also think it's some lack of fat or essential nutrient in diet affecting
their moods. I for one before all this anti-grain stuff, noticed grains do
nothing for me! Listen 2 ur body is best!
thank you for doing this interview.. lots of food for thought. i am glad
that raw folks are keeping open minds. i try to stay open, but still search
for inconsistencies. we need to still listen to our bodies and personally
when i eat meat, i feel like poo (that's a technical term.. haha). i do
find some contradictions here. if she feels great, why is she sounding
desperate for her cacao and ice-cream? perhaps her body needs more fruit
and less meat if she needs these things.???
I am really tired of all the constant back and forth arguments regarding
what our diet should consist of. For the most part most people(in this
country especially) need to crawl before they can walk. By crawling I mean
they need to start by eliminating "foods" before arguing about what should
be consumed. All sugar, processed foods, canned foods, irradiated foods,
non organic foods, and on and on and on must be eliminated first, How many
are willing to do at least that? Cont.
"Every human needs a different ratio of protein" Then why aren't there
varied protein ratios in breast milk? Any scientific evidence to support
your popular protein sales pitch? Chimps are 3xs more genetically diverse
so they would need 3xs more varied protein ratios, right? Nonsense! "being
a vegan or raw foodist (both of which are modern inventions)" False. The
hominidae biological family (of which humans are members), co-evolved with
raw fruit for tens of millions of yrs.
Every human needs a different ratio of protein, carbs and fat. being a
vegan or raw foodist (both of which are modern inventions) may suit some
people but not all. The Eskimos would die on a raw vegan food diet. They
just eat protein and fat (?) Loads of vegans are aggressive due to low
tryptophan and fat. Weston A Price found no tribes that ate raw food
exclusively. No one particular diet is healthy for everyone. Get on the
right fuel for YOU.
you need fats to convert beta-carotene into vitamin A, so although carrots
and sweet potatoes have the potential to give u vitamin A unless you r
consuming fats with these foods with essential fats the beta carotene will
not convert into precious vitamin A, which is why she said it was hard to
get. Do whats best for u, we aren't all the same, but what we can all agree
on is that a high living raw food diet is optimal for great health.
my grandma in Ecuador she is still alive and kicking and her diet is almost
milk the whole day, her skin is so smooth, she does not suffer from any
north america disease at all, she even drinks lots of coffee I am so sad
hearing this lady talking nasty about the food in Ecuador she is not even a
local she is just believing what the uneducated guy told her, she shouldn't
be talking without any proof.
I am from Ecuador myself and I happened to live close to a banana
plantation they do not use any chemical at all, all the food in Ecuador is
almost 100% organic, we eat directly from the plant to the table, tomatoes,
lettuce, peppers, oranges, papayas, pineapples, guavas, passion fruit, and
almost all fruits and veggies are 100% organic, even the cows are fed
quality grass,
This lady is clearly a moron, vitamin A hard to get? eat a freaking sweet
potato and you have 3 days worth per serving. not to mention carrots have
tons as well. Her super food thing was mostly helpful but kind of a duh
moment for the most part. I think it was nice to hear this, she gives me
alot to research but she herself sounds like a complete fool.
@natemorey 'Don't drink the kool aid' refers to the members of that
clandestine cult that drank poison Kool Aid, just because their leader told
them to. Eggs are great food. End of story. Of course, living without
veges, to me sounds like a fate worse than death. But Eggs are a more
potent source of protein than ANY vegetable. So why not eat both?
@ramonalisa just so you know (since I guess you dont) its not about eating
different, i dont care if someone eats shit they found on the side of the
road, but I do care when animals are killed and spend there whole life in a
cage too small to spread there arms. peace and whatever back to ya.
I dont like the fact she didnt blood test BEFORE going 99% vegat :S, during
and after, without this this isnt objective, at all. Plus what if her raw
vegan diet was chock full of things like cacao, and vegetable oils, and a
bunch of nut butters, and whatevre? This isnt very scientific
Raw cacao isn't stimulating at all. Most of the "raw cacao" products on the
marke are not raw at all, so if they are cooked at high heat, they will be
more stimulating, etc. Anyone who tries the truly raw cacao powder from Big
Tree Farms will know that it is not stimulating at all.
"Royal jelly.....not a vegan product." Why did she point out that tidbit
for royal jelly when the foods she listed before that aren't vegan either?
Sardines, mackerel, eggs, etc.? Of all of the non-vegan products she
listed, royal jelly is the least objectionable.
susan shark "I was wrong before, but this time, I'm 100% right. You gotta
believe me & buy my new s-crap book. Who needs a refund? Forget about the -
my/your other book, just purchase my new book. It's the truth, I
promise......(suckers)."
do we have really have different metabolic types or do we just rationalize?
gut feeling says that she rationalizez.. i bet graham and durian rider
doesn't cheat. or do they? watch earthlings and come back to me if meat is
the best food.
(Long time lurker - first time commenting) I really admire you guys for
trying to display the full spectrum of the raw diet. It's always
interesting to hear opinions and information from different people with
different lifestyles.
