Minecraft Tutorial How to Find your Save Files on Mac
Here is How to Get to your MineCraft SaveGame on a Mac, and UnZip PC MineCraft files and install them into your MineCraft Save Games.
The folder for Minecraft is not there even after I copied and pasted that
stuff in the finder. I did a force update in Minecraft so that the files
would appear in the application support folder, but even then nothing is
there. I don't know why it won't show up after all the other videos I
watched and learned how to get to the folder. Every time I try to look for
the solution to this problem it always says the same thing, I have to go to
the application support folder. The files aren't there.
In Lion, the Library folder in "users/yourusername/" (which is where
Application Support and minecraft folders are located) is hidden by
default. Use this in terminal to unhide that folder: chflags nohidden
~/Library/ after that open finder, -go to your user account, -click
Library, -Click Application Support, -Click minecraft and you should see
the saves folder, your worlds go in the saves folder, hope that clears
things up.
HOW TO FIND THE LIBRARY: First of all ITS NOT IN THE HD LIBRARY, its in the
users library. - On finder click Go/Go to Folder/ USERS /(Your username)
the library folder is there, but its hidden, to reveal it open terminal and
paste this..... chflags nohidden ~/Library/ The library should appear,
click it then go de Application support/Minecraft
Its a hidden file. ( this is going to work) open Finder click on Go in the
menu bar above hold down the 'alt' key whilst the Go drop down menu is
down, A new option to click on should appear half way down called 'Library'
click on Library, then click on Application support, There you should (if
I'm not mistaken) find a mine craft folder.
I need help! i want to send a save to a friend via skype! but when i do it
(when i drag the save into the writing box its only getting the text on all
the ways to get there (/profile/aplication/support) something like that) so
how do i send some1 a save? can i do it via skype? or what else? please
reply!
This video didn't help at all, I don't want to sound mean but nothing
happened. I think a lot more people should do videos like these so people
can follow. I really want to download Pauls map but I'm sorry this video
just made me download things that are just taking up space.
Not sure how the delete works in the mac version of Minecraft, maybe check
the trash bin, but I don't usually delete worlds, if it's a survival map or
something I generally just copy over the existing save with a blank one.
Sorry that's not more help.
ATTENTION EVERYONE WHO DOESNT HAVE A MINECRAFT FOLDER!!!!!!!! go to finder
then "go" and type this in: ~/Library/Application Support/Minecraft/saves
just copy and paste it, hope it helps :) oh and like so others can see
fuck.. i played mine craft on "guest" and when i log out from the mac and
log in again, and go on minecraft the nothing is in my world.. any help? i
am a noob so every help is very helpful! :)
@Hyperion395 At the top left corner, near the Apple logo it says finder.
Click on that, and choose setting. Change it so that you'll see the library
and so. Otherwise you won't see it.
i don't have a saves folder but i have several minecraft worlds. I tried
copying and pasting this~/Library/Application Support/Minecraft/saves but
it didn't work. someone help please
i tried and tried finding that folder by searching, THANK YOU SO MUCH!!! i
could find it manually using your guide and i can't tell you how happy i
am, thank you! :D
And now I know how to find my Library folder *and* see it later on too. An
excellent tip. Thanks for taking the time to post the terminal code. Works
great!
Excellent tip. Mine was hidden but your suggestion made it visible for a
minute in Finder. Aha! There it is. Very handy tip.
