How To Sell Your Music On iTunes in 3 Easy Steps (Video)
Here is a link to my first song on iTunes : https://itunes.apple.com/us/album/busdriver-single/id962247802 In this video tutorial you will quickly learn how to ...
Great Video i have been looking for a place like this. I am an Artist and
my new Album will now be on major platforms WORLDWIDE! Thank you for this.
Btw you really should have put a link to your single below
$5 mastering lmfao. Almost laughable you get a lossy file with shiity
mastering. I guess you get what you pay for lol. If you're reading this and
need your track Mixed and Mastered no matter what you do dont go to fiverr
Yeah I totally hear you. This was just how I did it and has been working for the average Joe. The video is mainly about just getting onto iTunes. I just wanted to show the most affordable way, but like you said.. Get what you pay for but as long as I made it on iTunes Im happy. Thanks
+Robert Reed No problem. I didn't want to sound so harsh but this $5 mastering is an insult to the music industry. Especially since the dude gave you an mp3. No one should resort to $5 mastering. I honestly couldnt take someones music career seriously if they did this. Shit is a waste of money too
+Buu - Hey man sorry if it didn't work out for you. A person can always mix and master somewhere else, but you will be paying for it. You can even skip step 2 if you want to in a lot of cases. It worked for me, sorry if it was not the greatest.

Why do we need a distributor if we just want to distribute the music on
iTunes? Is it just so most of the money we make goes to the distributor? If
the music I made was sold on Itunes it would be distributed right?
+TheDarkfrostElf I use a distributor that has completely FREE distribution for labels (including UPC and ISRC codes), but takes 30% or 20% of royalties (the 30% model has an $100 threshold and the 20% has a $300 one).Anyway, my point is that they also have a free ringtone uploader for itunes and whatever platforms that "WDA" distributes to.
+wysbro1984 Well: to sell anything you would need parental consent. But if you own your own instruments or a DAW like FL Studio: then you could just post your music online without parental consent if you don't care about making money.
+wysbro1984 you should make a few for free, or make some "demo" cuts of your music for people to preview, you could post them up on youtube or bandcamp too, I'd give it a listen :)
Hey man, you can put it on all the website (itunes, amazon...) for free with this website, it's by far the best, go look around - don't follow stupid youtube videos made to make money for their owners, //routenote.com/referral/726f8ac2

I just became a member of Distrokid and I was wondering if I am allowed to
submit and sell covers in the stores? Because I tried to submit an album of
live covers that I did, and they sent me an email saying that one or more
needed a license. Which i'm not even sure what that means. Obviously I
don't own the karaoke versions. On Tunecore, I could submit covers, I never
tried live covers, but regular covers that I recorded using karaoke
versions bought on itunes. That worked just fine. So I am confused about
what I can and cannot sell using Distrokid.
+Sarah Noyes At the bottom of the submission page, there should be a check box asking if song is a cover. Make sure box is checked. They should remove fees per sale for you for licensing.
+micayla chapman I only found it because they had an ad. But from the two code words, T=S and C=M, if my guess was right. Which another comment has spelled out already.
How long will your promo code work? I'm going to start using their service
(at some point) but I also want to give credit where it's due and use your
link.

How To Sell COVER songs on iTunes legally / are COVER VIDEOS legal on youtube!? (by Ely Jaffe)
Hey YOU!! Be my Patron here: //bit.ly/1zmr9Nx Thanks!! How to sell covers on iTunes... "Like" for $$$!! :-) And are cover videos legal on youtube? Watch to ...
Hi Ely - thank for the great tutorial. How do I track sales of my cover on
iTunes so that I can re-purchase a new mechanical license when needed?
Thanks!
+Tamsyn Freeman Good question. Your supposed to track them yourself. Kinda weird but it's like a "trust" thing. Just count up your sales and when you hit the number of your license buy another one! Good luck.
Hello +ElyJaffeMusic! All i want to know is when I do say "Amazing Grace"
or a song well known. What do I need to do so? I know there are multiple
songs like "Amazing Grace". What is the procedure? Just obtaining the
necessary licenses? The person singing and playing will be solely myself.
Thanks!!!
+Daniel Palomo There is no copyright for Amazing Grace as it was first published in 1779. If you are doing more contemporary covers use Loudr it is awesome.
