As you will see in the video, I reduced my makeup collection from around 400 items to under 50 items. Just like my minimalist journey with my closet, I feel free!
I recently decided to look into going cruelty free but was worried about
the cost. I was shocked to find that so many of my favorite cheap brands
were cruelty free. e.l.f, wet n wild, hard candy, nyx, city color,
colourpop, makeup geek, milani, as well as a few other (slightly more
ecpensive) drugstore brands like pixi, pacifica, and physician's formula.
Parent company means that L'oreal gets a portion of NYX sales. This means that, while buying from NYX, part of your money is still going to a company which tests on animals.
+Scarlett Octopus It is still a cruelty free brand, even though its parent company is now L'oreal. They don't fund animal testing in any way, and their products are not sold in China either. This is the same with Urban Decay. //www.peta.org/living/beauty/nyx-cosmetics-remains-cruelty-free/
Don't know why that green screen comes out in the beginning of some of my videos!!! Its getting on my nerves lol. Sorry I will try to fix it. Hi dolls, I'm going to be ...
+Gemma Doyle Yes they are cruelty free themselves, but they are now own by a parent company who isn't. So I try my hardest not to support companies that sold out to companies that do test. I was so sad when they sold out! It was one of my favorites.
Sorry for the late response doll but I got it in a set of 3 acrylic organizers at Ross. But I have seen them by them selves at Marshalls and Tjmaxx too. Hope this helps hun.
+Danielle Nicole They aren't. I read on PETA's (I think) site that they were so I continued purchasing from them. One of my viewers let me know they aren't CF so I stopped using their products. I rely on Leaping Bunny and Logical Harmony's lists only now.
I have that deodorant in the aloe version and I hate how sticky / wet it
is! And it made me smell worse than if i didn't wear anything. I like the
kiss my face liquid rock deodorant though! It's a roll on which isn't my
fav but it works

Urban Decay claim to be cruelty free, yet their parent company (L'Oreal)
aren't. It's such a shame. Also, it winds me up that companies claim to be
cruelty free yet they stock their products in China. (China is the only
country where, by law, all cosmetics have to be tested on animals before
they can be stocked over there.... yet the companies lie to their customers
in other countries stating they are 100% against testing on animals. It
really is messed up.
+Laura Atkin The company itself is cruelty-free but it was bought by L'Oreal, which is not. All products made by UD are cruelty-free and not tested on animals though. It also angers me that China demands animal testing too..
+Kourtney Stump Cohen That is amazing news! Good for you :)

so I have dry skin and I need an alternative to Nivea face cream that I
use and an alternative to head and shoulders who apparently parent company
not cruelty free. I also use coconut shampoo/conditioner from superdrug and
apparently their own brands are cruelty free but who knows? This is all
getting so confusing for me! Also I have been using Rimmel foundation for
years so I need to change that too right? poor little animals, it should
all just be banned everywhere then there would be no problems!
Superdrug is cruelty free as they are not owned by any other company, they don't sell to china and they have the bunny on the back to most of their products (not 100% sure if all of the products are but I am guessing they are)Yes Rimmel is owned by L'Oreal that tests on animalsAn alternative could be face creams, shampoos and condtioners from Lush, they might be a bit more pricey but they are well worth itHope I could help :)
Hi I just wanted to tell you that I bought your brushes this Christmas... I
am in love with them! I hope you will continue your work on informing
people about cruelty free products :)
I love this video and thought that all of the products were worth trying
out. However, I would like to say that I have placed an order for your
professional Cruelty Free Makeup Brushes, & would love to know if you would
start selling them in singles brushes? There are some I would love to have
more of. thank you.
Thank you Najowion :) Due to a huge number of requests, we're definitely looking into selling them individually in the near future. I will keep everyone updated for sure. Hope you love your set btw! :)
