A great deal of controversy exists about the pronunciation of God's Name. I believe it's Yahweh, but you need to be aware that there are others who believe it's ...
If you would know some hebrew, and or modern hebrew, you would know that
it's not how you pronounce it. I can't really tell you how to pronounce it,
because i'm Jewish and Religious, and the name should not be said. Like in:
"Thou shalt not take the name of the Lord thy God in vain" so...
If you understood Hebrew you would know that "taking the Lord's name in vain" has nothing to do with speaking it. It means you will not take God into your heart and accept him as your God in false pretense or in vain. As in a wife doesn't take her husband's name in vain by marrying him and then carrying on as a single woman. So many people misunderstand this.
I think the guy is correct. We have no way to be sure exactly how to pronounce the name, because we don't have access to the time of the Ancient Israelites.I use "Yahuah" and that's fine with me.I don't think the name should split the body of יהשע.
Honestly, this video did not help me. I agree with what you said about
titles God, and Lord. But simply saying that you believe God's name is
Yahweh, without giving one convincing piece of evidence is insufficient.
You keep repeating yourself, saying that you think you are right, but you
give no good reason. I used to believe that for a short period if time
until I found out that there is no W sound in Hebrew. Seeing that the name
of God is the most significant Hebrew word, the Hebrew language MUST be
able to convey the correct pronunciation of it. That's a no-brainer. Your
video would have been MUCH more helpful if you provided clear, and
convincing evidence that the Hebrew letter Vav is actually pronounced "w"
and not "v". If you can do that, you have a leg to stand on. Otherwise it's
just a bad guess.
What does Yahweh say about calling him "God"? Is it okay?
Jeremiah 23:26-27 How long will this be in the heart of the prophets who prophesy lies? Indeed they are prophets of the deceit of their own heart, 27 who try to ...
Yahweh is wrong too. E is not in ancient hebrew alaphbayt. This is Greek.
The real translation reads Yahawah or Yahwah. But the ancients used the
name Allaph or Alaph too. This is very similar too Ahla that the Muslims
use.
The reason it is so important for you to know the correct pronunciation of God's original name is such: If you, along with others are walking along a river bank, ...
Greetings from our God! Thanks for your email & interest. I hurt to admit I
do not have a church home. I fellowship by breaking bread with Christians
during the week. I've learned from many mighty men of God but hit a wall
with each of them. Now I sing-pray-study & worship alone. I hold clergy to
a standard higher than any other group, as the calling of being a Church
Leader is reserved for far fewer people than are preaching in this hour. I
hope you understand.
Brother, I would like to know where your congregation worships. I am from
outskirts of Pgh and figured maybe one day I copuld visit. I searched for
the proper pronunciation of YHWH and found your video and was intrigued,
hence my interest in knowing where your church is. My email is
[email protected]. thanks
You ever notice that when ever you say it, it feels like his head turns in
your direction and the core your body is filled with some kind of warmth,
(Not technically, but best description I am able to give.)
your not wrong, but a little too much for people to receive. And if that
place is where you are, then what you said isnt untrue, but then again if
anyone who knows him is somewhere that is true there also.
