Discard the fat??? Grass-Fed Beef fats are pure medicine. The CLA found in
grass-fed beef is said to help the body burn fat, and I read it may slow or
stop tumor growth.
+WisconsinEric You do realize chemical fire retardants have been found in the dung of Arctic reindeer herds. As much as you would like to believe grass is pure and good, our environment is complex.
+AlaskaGrannyRE "Toxins are stored in the fat" Exactly my point, with grass-fed beef that should not be an issue. We have been programmed to beLIEve fats are bad, but fat and cholesterol are necessary for hormone production, and the human brain is made of fats and cholesterol.Almost appears as if the goal was to turn the population into "worker bees" with all this low fat talk.In a bee hive the "worker Bees" are sexless non-thinking drones, and a beehive is far more efficient than any current human population center...
+WisconsinEric Personal preference. Many people do not enjoy the fat in the bone broth, so remove it. Some choose to skim the fat and save for other cooking purposes. Toxins are stored in fat, so many choose to discard the fat as a precautionary measure. As with all food, the choice is yours to modify and adapt to suit your personal preferences.
+Pamela Shoemaker Sometimes I roast them, didn't this time. Bone broth varies in color, maybe from the 4 days I cooked these. Tastes delicious. What is your favorite way to make bone broth?
+ProLine Canada Just warm it up. I store it in the freezer in one or two cup Ball Freezer Jars, which are plastic. You can watch my video review on them here. https://youtu.be/I1bv12Nkqq0 You get one jar out and heat it up in a cup for a drink. You can add whatever you like to make soup. Add things like meat, vegetables, potatoes, pasta, whatever you like for a hearty meal with a robust broth. Enjoy.

make the meat mixture with cube steaks
Hey kisha, I make something similar to this but I put in oven. My kids love
it. With baseball games three times a week, I will have to try in crockpot.

Eric's Crock Pot Pea Soup Recipe slow cooker GardenFork.TV
//GardenFork.TV Crock Pot or slow cooker Pea Soup is one of my favorite comfort foods. Here's my simple recipe using a crock pot, you can start the pea ...
Use stock instead of water.....add 2 large shaved paper thin potatoes into
the mix, you won't get any really noticeable flavor, but when you get your
hand whip grinder into the soup (don't grind the meat of course) but the
added vegetable gives the soup body. It's really good. Nice and smooth
('cept for the meat chunks)
@CupcakeSaraKai i don't but I know people who do. all the cookbooks say you
don't have to, but i think if you soak them, they will cook quicker.
especially if you the dried peas you are using are older. thx, eric.
@SasyBecause Thank you for sharing that idea! I didn't even think of doing
that. I usually keep ham in the freezer when I can so if I see those little
hams on sale I'll be sure to grab a couple for soups ^^
@SasyBecause You mean, like the spam type meats? I know they make turkey
flavored, and pork flavored canned meats. Is that what you mean? Probably a
good way to eat that kind of meat. Let me know
I cook with my crock pot all the time I use it like an oven if I cant place
it in a crock pot I wont make it and I wont buy it if I cant get it into my
crock pot KEEP ON COOKING
Another great video Eric ! Definately I would add onions, cracked pepper,
bay leaves, thyme. Great cold weather comfort food. It's 11 degrees here in
KS this morning brrrrrrrr
@CupcakeSaraKai I've never soaked my beans or peas for soups. I just hand
sort looking for little rocks and then rinse well and toss in the crock pot
for soup =)
@chivone21 thanks for the suggestions, potatoes are great for adding body
to soups, and the stock rounds out the flavor. thanks for watching, eric -
