lol...this one is kind of funny, but good topic. I track and although my
kids are older, two are still at home, but I track daily and I find it so
easy to track these days with myfitnesspal. When I was your age (lol...;)
I had to look up calories (oh and before the internet back in the 80's) in
a book and all I did was count calories with all the kids at home.. I
don't always track everything, but go in spurts. I think it all boils down
to....Personality :)
+Lynn Goddard haha I'm glad you like it, Lynn!.... hahaha I don't think you're THAT old, but you make such a good point! This day and age, tracking is WAY easier than it was a few years ago when there weren't a ton of apps and databases to get the job done for us....It's almost like you don't HAVE to choose either/or, as it can all fit into your day pretty easily...Thanks for making me thing about that!
Great content, Andrea! Very insightful. I'm a married mom of 3 kids
working outside the home and I track religiously. However, I've had to
give up other aspects of my life (i.e. watching TV, etc.). In order to get
all of my daily tasks accomplished, I've had to prioritize. I have also
realized that at the end of the day, it doesn't matter if my floors have
been swept and mopped, as long as everyone is healthy and happy. What
makes me healthy and happy is tracking. :)
+Jennifer Workman Oh I like this!!! Prioritization is definitely key, and I suppose it all just depends on your particular balance and what you feel like giving up in return for what you feel is important....I think that's admirable to put your health and well-being in front of your mopping and whatnot, while still being aware that being "on track" is what keeps you sane and mentally available for your family....Thank you for the insight! :) <3
I need to find that podcast and listen to it because that really does all
makes sense. My husband and I decided not to have children and we are happy
about that. It frees up time for other things that we want to do. We LOVE
children, I am a teacher, but we are glad we made that decision.
+Ayana Fuentes I think I'm on board with that! (Well, when Brandon and I talk about it we're both weary about the kids thing.)...I've worked with children all of my life coaching gymnastics and I LOVE them as well! And because it was always competitive teams, I would have the same group of kids/teenagers for 20+ hours per week, so I feel like I halfway raise them lol. I mean 4 hours a day with little humans makes you realize how complicated it can be and how many emotions you have to deal with and I just couldn't IMAGINE dealing with 24 hours a day! haha.....As much as I love ALL the kids I've coached, I think that spending so much time with them made me realize how parenting is NOT something to be taken lightly.Thank you so much for the insight, Ayana!..Also, the podcast is more of a Q&A, and this discussion is just a few minutes of it. However, in the podcast he talks about a book by by Dan Gilbert on the topic of happiness and how it relates to kids and money and other stuff. The SECOND LINK is a presentation by dan gilbert that relates to this and THAT is what you MUST WATCH! It's honestly one of my favorite talks and it hits the nail on the head with all of this.....check it out and let me know what you think! :)
Three kids over here....full time job etc etc.....i dont track ALL the
time....but its not bc of lifes demands....its just preference. When I do
track I dont find it to b an extreme inconvenience. It just takes a little
scheduling/time management. Fitness and nutrition are things that, once u
make them a normal part of everyday life, fit in like everything else you
do each day....i.e. getting kids ready, eating, entertaining them, school,
work, etc. It just takes practice
+Brett Scott agreed....And honestly, unless it's brought up (like it was yesterday morning by my coach) as "not tracking is something we should maybe aim for", I then feel a little guilty for it...Really tho, I don't even think about it and I feel like its second nature. Like it's just "how I live" to mindlessly hit some round about numbers.....It's like I give it 4 to 8 hours of time every 4 to 6 weeks to get my "fix" and play with the numbers, then it's just routine and habit to "hit" them...Thanks for leaving the opinion here! :)
IIFYM Full Day Of Eating 4 || San Jose Fit Expo
Almost at 10k Subscribers!!!!!! Thank you guys! Last Day of my diet break so I yoloed it a little. Back to tracking EVERYTHING PERFECTLY! This diet break has ...
Ephedrine caffeine aspirin? I thought Ephedrine was illegal down there. In
Canada you can still get it as a nasal decongestant. That's probably what
I'll be using instead of expensive fat burners. Summer doesn't start till
late July in Canada. Almost done my bulk. Up to 190lbs then cut time.
I've always used the calculator on healthstatus.com because they ask you for your height, weight, gender, and age. It's definitely worked for me but I like to be as accurate as possible.
+More Than Fit It's not accurate at all unless you put in your stats...height, weight, gender, age....even then it's still not accurate...but like Chris said...it's fairly consistent at least...more consistent than using time as the factor.
You have a great taste in music! I always really like the songs that play
over the workout footage. Could you add the title and artist of the songs?
I love listening to rap/hip hop in the gym and I need some new music.
Lol. Left a comment but youtube gave me an error an hour later that it
didn't get posted. It shit. I think they meant by other carbs that. Other
carbs= unclean carbs. Srs
IIFYM/Flexible Dieting Bikini cut prep for my fitness photoshoot in May...7 weeks out! This is the first official non-tracked day of my cut! As I mentioned in the last ...
+Brittany Lesser She was a good sport about it, but I was still pretty embarrassed watching it back :PThank you! It's a baby channel and it's growing slowly, but I love everyone who helps make it happen <3
Hey gorgeous!!! What a super motivational video!! I totally agree on your
deep thoughts haha but you lost me at the muffins haha lol. Good thing for
the IE day! Xxx louzziej
It's awesome that you are finding balance and intuition while still cutting
and tracking macros. I think it's a great idea to have one non-tracked day
a week! Good luck on the journey to your photoshoot!
Hahaha, I loved that deep analysis from the breakfast sandwich, you're so
right though!! Never perfect right away, all about progressing, and that's
with everything :) Awesome first day of intuitive eating for sure! I know
it can be difficult at first to differentiate between being full and
satisfied, and just eating for finishing what's in front of you. Great job
though Tali, love the mindset you have on it all!
+LifeWithCass Mmmmm all kinds of brain gains were made over breakfast! ;) Thanks for your support, I always love hearing what you have to say! :D
Day 36 - What To Do If Keto Is Not Working
Hi, Tim here with my day 36 video. I lost a further .3Kg (6/10's of a pound) since yesterdays weigh in, and that brings my total weight loss since starting to 8Kgs ...
Yes, always measure, I measured first day as Stephanie Keto Person
says...and yes, the scale is depressing. I am doing Ketogics to the letter,
super in ketosis, feel GREAT, but only 9 lbs lost in 23 days? BUT 14 inches
all over my body! I had no idea and then WHAT? I LOOK different, 5 inches
off of my waist! I think it took me a few years gaining weight, I think I
will lose lbs...but many keto people say get rid of the scale, I can't
really do that, but I'm going to put it away and not step on it til ANOTHER
20 days pass. Thanks for your video, you're great and good luck!
Congrats on your weight loss. The 4 tablespoons of butter will certainly
contribute to your fat intake. Have you tried coconut oil? There are many
studies detailing the health benefits of coconut oil, especially while on a
keto diet. I too am having fun eating this way, although sometimes I
struggle to get enough fats. The proteins I eat are so filling, I have to
almost force myself to eat additional fats...Great problem to have huh?
Bacon, and some coconut oil coffee usually does the trick.
I was not eating enough fat and that was why I wasn't losing weight. I
upped my fat without upping the protein, which was very hard, and it has
paid off. I've lost about 2 pounds in 2 days. I've added a whole avocado to
my meals about every night. It gets my carbs in and some good fat too. I
also eat about 4 tablespoons of butter a day. I'm having a lot of fun on
this way of eating, and I hope to do it until I lose everything I need to.
Thank Tim!
Hi, love your videos, so helpful and informative! I have 10-15 lbs to go,
and they are the most stubborn lbs I've ever experienced. I'm on day 13,
meeting most of my macros daily, very little exercise. I lost a few lbs,
was thrilled, then gained all but 1/2 lb back! Do you think doing IF might
help? I'm concerned about my metabolism getting even slower than it is.
yes, i have been on this diet for 16 days. I lost 7 pounds then gained
then gained so i only lost 4 pounds. I don't cheat absolutely no sugar and
very little carbs. I don't exercise, I'm pretty seditary. are people losing
so much weight cos you must exercis on this diet? i didn't buy the book.
i'm just going by video's that i seen that break it down for me.
No I haven't tried coconut oil but I would like too. I live in a very small
town and will have to travel about 40 miles to get it. I'll probably do
that on Friday. Now that I'm eating enough fat I feel so much better and my
blood sugar has gone down so much that I've cut my insulin in half in only
2 weeks. Now that's a problem I like to have. LOL
Thanks for the update Tim. Do you think that you might be able to take a
pic of every single thing that you eat, from meals to snacks, for at least
one week and run through what you ate the day before real quick every day?
I would love that and I am sure others would also appreciate it very much.
Thanks again.
Ummm no. Removing sugar and starch does play a big part, but you will not
lose weight consistently with keto unless you eat the right macro
percentages. Of course you would know that if you spent a few minutes of
research. Speaking of ignorance... Do these words mean anything to you?
Pot... Kettle... Black ?
Guess what I got coconut oil! My son brought me some from Charlotte. I
mixed some with some herbs and lemon juice and froze it in candy molds. I'm
gonna use it like butter on chicken and fish. It's tastes so good that way
I just may eat it like that.
Thats awesome Deniece. Well done. Yeah the keto diet works not by limiting
yourself but by ensuring you are eating enough fat and of course not too
many carbs. Well done and keep up the good work!
Go to wholenaturallife and look for her Lemon Coconut Delights. Just leave
out the honey and add liquid Stevia to taste. She has some great uses for
coconut oil.
In a sense you're right. If you don't eat food, you will lose a shitload of
weight! Remind us where you completed your doctorate in Clinical Nutrition.
Hey Frank, see day 37 video for a discussion on that. hope all is going
well for you!

Interesting story I can relate to because although everyone tells me I'm in
great shape. I see myself different and definitely know I could improve!
Nice work!
people think i am heavier than I am.because of heoght and having fat and muscles so I too loved hwr tips. In life, it would be ni e if we could forget tracking food, but in today's fast paced life #diet tracking works. side note youtube drives me crazy some glitch happened on upload and my last voiceover was clipped too late to reupload lol
TBH the woman's before picture, she has UK teenage girl body shape or
better. She looks good in the after photo, but a little too OTT for my
taste. But I do realise she is body building. However, I like the video,
you did a good job on this one. Plenty of tips that are easy for people to
take on board. The guy gets it right about resting metabolic rate, are you
a fidget or couch potato!.
you are correct sometimes we THINK we are more active than we are. she is doing 60 minites cardio plus lifting and wating 1500 or so calories but super high protein. A person looking to lose needs to know their #metabolic type and then adjust. For example do they store fat easily and build muscle easily? or do they burn fat but cannot build #muscle? Her #fat is currently 12% when I shot this it'll be 10% for the competition. Her norm is 16-20%
