Hey Crystal, to replace a shut off vlave that is inside the wall, assuming you can not exrend the tube enough to cut the tube and replace the existing shut off it would be necessary to ope the drywall, replace the valve and finally repair the dry wall. Does this answer your question?

Experimenting with black magic

W2AEW inspired me to try my hands at a little black magic. I used an LTC5510 active mixer evaluation board. I powered it with a highly filtered 3.3V regulator.

Why downconvert it from 88.1MHz to 58.1? That's still in the VHF range.
