Hello, have you considered "Photo SFXart Tricks" (just search on Google for
it ...)? On their website you will find a good free video explaining how to
create awesome pictures. It helped Daniel to take pictures which have a
jaw-dropping-effect any time you take a look at them. Perhaps it will work
for you too.

This was done with my all purpose super zoom, 24-300mm. Most of the photos
are around the 40mm focal length. When shooting fashion and beauty you
would usually go for longer focal lenght. But for maternity, where you wnat
to show a round belly, I would rather stay below 50mm

Thank you for posting, very informative. but if your backdrop lights are
not enough power with a Guide Number of 43 on full power and your main
lights with a Guide Number of 58 on half power and one eight power, why
don't you just swap them?
Thanks for your videos. I've got my first maternity shoot tomorrow and I'm
just refreshing my knowledge - your videos are really helpful and well
explained - you have a really good teaching style. Thanks a lot, and keep
them coming, please!
I had a shoot through umbrella to the left of my camera, looking down at my
subject from a 45 angle. My second speedlite was directly behind the
subject, set at 1/8th power and wide zoom (24mm) and facing directly at the
background.
amazing video ,, can i ask a question .. I only do have 50mm 1.4 and 16-35
ultra wide which one is more helpful for taking this kind of photos or i
should get 24-70 for the 40mm ? thank you
Take a white backdrop and don't light it. Only use the lights to light ur
subject. The backdrop will become grey. Not the nicest grey but better than
a grey backdrop without lighting.
