After reading other books by non vegan authors I'm staring to believe your
right about the raw community being a cult and I did some more research and
found out the only meat that causes cancer or heart disease is sausage
cured meat beef and veil and I found out that eggs poultry and lean pork
are actually very healthy for you :) thanks for the advice you gave me I'm
now reconsidering my choices
The more you can eat raw, the better, but 100% is just dangerous long-term. I didn't want to offend you by anything I said, but I went down that same road and had I stayed there, it would have put me in more of a bad situation than I was. The important thing to remember is that processed foods are poison and real foods with one ingredients are what we should be eating. If we have weight problems, its best to steer clear of foods that will trigger binges and for most people, these foods are grains and sugars. You have to do what feels right to you though. If you don't feel meat is a good option for you right now, stick to other foods that will give you the same benefits. Healthy fats like coconut oil and avocado and proteins from seeds and nuts. I was in the 'raw' mindset for a year and it got to a point where people were criticizing the types of vegetables and fruits I was eating, or if my nuts were "truly" raw, or just crazy ridiculous cult-like behaviors. Raw is great though, but I would stick to just 50-60% instead of 100%, do you know what I mean? I would never want to discourage someone from eating vegetables!!
