Beth I really enjoy these videos you do. I already tried the Taste the
World and I'm going to order this. I'm a homebody so I enjoy anything

Taking you through the steps to make a miniature adjustable square, all you need is a milling machine and a lathe, and some miscellaneous hand tools. Enjoy!
It's definitely enough to keep it in place. The keyway is really only there to make sure the pin stays in the right place for when you're inserting the blade. It's for convenience basically, as the pin rotating when you insert the blade is a cause for some frustration.
As I say around 1:50, I plunge milled a slot next to the main hole. This was done while holding it in the same way as the hole, so all the coordinates were known and easy to figure out. I just used a small endmill to do this.
Great to watch - thanks.
Practical note: I made myself a wooden square just for the odd occasion
when a delicate job is near completion - no danger of dinging a difficult
finish with the corner of a steel square - which I have done before now!
+My Garage Woodshop Thanks Rod! Desperate to get my latest vid done. Bailed on the shop tonight but will be back at it tomorrow. Really appreciated the feedback :).
Hi Graham! Excellent video...I love the FFWD. It maked me feel like
watching a video installation in a modern arts museum. Especially cutting
the mortices gives a fantastic effect :)
Great work Graham, is nice to see hand tool work, not the power tools like
most of youtubers, this is a diferent and very interesting, please keep
doing more tutorials like this!
+NosillaWilla cheers NosillaWilla. I'm glad you're not looking for tutorials, I don't think I have the time for that kind of thing for a while. Thanks for watching the video and leaving a comment :-)
+Graham Haydon i don't think you have to worry about tutorials. a somewhat skilled woodworker can figure out what you did to make their own version of these squares. lovely idea with the pencil lines to find the perfect angle. so simple, yet so genius!
+Sebastian ocaño thanks Sebastian, glad you like seeing the hand tool projects. I'd just like to stress that these are not tutorials, they are only meant to be for fun. Proper tutorials take so long to do properly that I'd never be able to get a project done. Cheers :-).
